Every lawyer I know, and I know a lot, tell me
>don’t go into law, muh debt, muh boring
Well I have a trust fund that would totally cover law. I have enough connections to get a decent job after graduation. My parents want me to do so. But all I hear are the negatives and how oversaturated it is. Any lawyers here genuinely enjoy their job? Make good money?

>> No.16444304

if you wanna be a lawyer and will genuinely enjoy it that is up to you. be smart be passionate. be driven. decide where you want to go early do you want to corporate finance, politician, private or public work? etc

PS. if your not going to a T14 law school don't go. its more like T5 only now because of the job competition. Going into it purely for the money won't be enough motivation. you have to truly want to do it.

the stories i hear from lawyers are:
>to get good pay you have to get into a big firm
>big firms work you terrible hours to the bone
>the reason they pay so well, is because you encourage clients to fight through you instead of resolving the conflict with the counterparty in a cheaper and more wholesome way
>it is soul sucking because you bring out the worst in people and feed off of the destruction you sow. you're making the world a worse place so you can bill more hours to the client.
>only 0.01% of lawyers actually do "interesting" things which is basically just judging on partisan lines for the supreme court

I'm a 1L in going into 1st semester finals. Kinda in your position, where virtually all my expenses are paid by GI bill and scholarship but I'm at a reputable although not T14 school. Not saying don't do it, but have a plan. I recognize that law is an oversaturated industry with little foreseeable growth. Plenty of ways to make money though, so identify a couple that you could do if you don't end up practicing law. If I had to do this shit out of pocket I'd probably be having a mental breakdown desu.

I get that, and desu I’d probably end up being very interested in criminal law or possibly working on the legal team for a government body such as the FBI. But I’m not totally sure. Your second point is what draws me away from law. I don’t think I’m passionate about it enough to get into a T14 much less a T5. So it makes me think I should look at another career to make 6 figures, something I enjoy and am naturally good at.

Idk how people react to it which is why I avoid saying it but honestly I’ve considered becoming a cop instead of doing law school, since I’ve always been into law enforcement and I do know a couple former cops turned lawyers who did 5 years or whatever and then went to LS

>>16445617
For yes what if someone does decide to commit suicide and they explain that it was because of your online behavior what would happen then? If I was being robbed I would warn someone two times before engaging in combat but would that be enough to justify action? Would I need to see them having a weapon and what if they had just come in unharmed?

>>16445623
Same question I have for you aswell if you have the time. If you tell someone to kill themselves and they actually end up doing citing you as an influence is that enough to get you fucked? I know most people wouldn't end up killing themselves over someone telling them online to do it but its just something I have been thinking about for awhile as a theoretical situation. Also on the self-defense question would reasonable belief require that they are trying to incite combat first or have a gun? What if someone decides to just walk in and not leave that would not be enough to engage in combat right? Cant they just rob in peace without any weapons or indication that they want to engage in combat and there wouldnt be a thing I can do about it?

non-lawyers shouldn't engage in descriptive discussions about law without a lawyer or judge present for their own safety, to be completely honest with you
prescriptive conversations based on past experiences with lawyers, sure, but everything else is nonsense misinformation because the law is mutated by centuries of precedent that the gen. pop. is totally unaware of strike a few exceptional cases

Google Michelle Carter. Still very unlikely to get convicted as facts were strong against her in her case.

>would reasonable belief require that they are trying to incite combat first or have a gun? What if someone decides to just walk in and not leave that would not be enough to engage in combat right?
Would need to review the borderline cases in NJ. Also dead men tell no tales. You shoot someone in your house, immediately call the police. Say that you killed in self-defense and will not answer any further questions without your lawyer present. Then shut the fuck up, and do what your lawyer says. Also probably not a good idea to shoot anybody unless necessary.

I suppose thats why OP wont even touch >>16444802 with a ten foot pole because the youngin can't even fathom the implications of asserting the notion that the only real "property" is an individual's agency over their own body. Everything else is a contract between fictional constructs.
At any rate, exclusive agency has a paramount interest over that which is often misconstrued (as a matter of PRACTICE) as a civil right rather than a property right.
In short, most lawyers are as clueless as the lumpen when it comes to the Matrix (no, im not referring to the movie). The only ones who truly understand whats going on are the magistrates.

the exact opposite is true you retarded normgroid, lawyers use precise interpretations of language so that two totally existentially disparate entities can even approach shared understanding of fundamental units of reality. its called syllogism in case you ever grow a brain.
its normalfags who decide what they really mean based on their feefees at the time

I meant the 5th ammendment im sorry. It protects you from being held for committing a crime unless you have been indicted correctly by the police.

Aka being pulled over without a warrant signed by a judge

Guessing I hit a nerve
>lawyers use precise interpretations of of language
KEK, have you ever pulled out a legal dictionary? There words change meaning all the time! hence the different dictionary editions. Also, when I said deceptive word meanings, thats what I meant. Legalese is not english, but people are decided into thinkin it is. Lets list some words & the defintion that mean different things in legalese than english.
Driver - someone thats being paid
passenger - someone thats paying
person - a corporation
includes - to exclude all others

I can go on, but the fact remains that contracts have a definitions section within the contract, Cause these words are not precise. Also, All words are fictional & can never fully describe the real thing.

couldnt have been that good of a law school then. i worked big law for 6 years and starting salary was $185k for junior associates

big law will really only hire you if you come from a "good" law school.

everything is a ponzi scheme with the shareholders just sitting on their asses talking to clients on the phone or going out to lunches, or writing up golf trips as "business expenses" while wining and dining rich CEOs. the paralegals and junior associates do all the work and the shareholders just put their signature on shit and call it a day. they dont even come up with their own legal strategies. unless you are sure of your connections or have the desire to be an overworked bitch for 10 years before becoming a window office overlord i would say find another profession. nobody likes the work, at all. its mind numbingly tedious, fraught with bureaucratic faggotry, and worst of all, 1,000,000% purposeless when you consider the larger picture and look at the retarded litigious society leftists have created for us today.

OP i can guarantee you can be a good lawyer if you apply yourself. but i can guarantee you will be 5-6 years in and realize you are literally wasting your life over pointless squabbling and faggotry. and if you dont already have a family of your own, you will never obtain one while working as a corporate lawyer. also you will have to live in an overpriced liberal shithole crimeridden city because thats where all the big law jobs are.

To garner an understanding of what I'm getting at, you need to review how and why Bush won his defense case against Gore and why/how OJ Simpson won his case. For starters.

That said, it really all comes down to what makes the Untied States a fucking based country:
>7th Amendment courts of record where the magistrate is separate from the tribunal
Such venues facilitate recourse for those who wish to handle their own affairs as a fucking man.

Theres a reason you never hear fuck all from politicians about the 7th Amendment: Nobody in their right mind would eliminate a venue of recourse thats available upon the proper filing of a legit verifiable claim.
>think Judge Judy minus the ghetto lumpen mentality
>that shit is underrated as all fucking fuck
>hence they throw the show on daytime TV in the hopes that one of the wagies will finaly get the fucking point: America is a great countrg for a fucking reason, a reason that many (including esquires) rarely appreciate and understand.

That all said, imagine being a Judge Judy knowing that the lawyers are about as clueless to the game as their clients.

Bottom Line
>you are a man
>you are not a fictional legal construct
>as a man you can use fictional constructs tk represent you
>the choice is yours
the choice is yours because slavery was outlawed. Thus the system relies on your acquiescence and/or agreement
>CONTRACT WISELY

Lawyers work into their 70’s with some regularity. By the time they are in their 40’s they don’t need to realistically work if they are intelligent with their money. Very high earnings potential compared to initial upfront investment.

>the choice is yours because slavery was outlawed
Thats where your wrong bucko = ). The below is from blacks law 3rd. Just showing you how BS this system all is.
Freedom - Without prohibition on your actions
ex. Theres a speed limit of 30mph
Slavery - Under the control of another
ex. If you go over 30, get caught, you get pulled over/ticket
Involuntary servitude - under the control of another, under duress
ex. you go to 'court', cause you went over 30, you risk things being taken from you ie duress.

The above matches really well with the 3 Capitis deminutio states. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitis_deminutio

Another interesting thing to look into is the original 13th amendment that supposedly got ratified. The amendment forbids titles of nobility, i.e esquires. This is a great reason for the English to burn down gov buildings during the war of 1812.

So wait, is the game to establish facts in a civil case that can go on to be used as evidence of wrongdoing (or lack thereof) in a criminal case?
Or is the only point that you enjoy a greater number of freedoms and/or likelihood of success when you represent yourself to a jury in civil trial?

Many prosecutors are nothing more than pedo-satanic free-masons.
They are not classy, or powerful. They are the scum of the earth. OP should know: you avoid those kind of people, you do not try to follow them. They have absolutely no morally or rightfulness. I would unironically rather thrust a mafioso. Those people are twisted you have no idea. I should know, i paid the price. Many years of my life. For nothing.

Yeah confirming that no demons approached me at the crossroads and dude was just a pedo who touched him.
It was really disappointing - a black car pulled up and shone its lights directly at me for a few seconds before driving away in an otherwise deserted area.
For a brief moment I thought maybe this reality didn't suck shit. But nah, just a schizanon.
All good though, have a restful sleep, wherever you are, based schizanon. No demons out tonight.

I have been working as a lawyer for about five years, I like the work — it is always interesting. The main thing in my specialty is to find a company whose specific work will meet your preferences in the sections of law, then the work will be a joy. You can see if you are interested in the services of a professional lawyer here www.realjustice.com. I like to represent the interests of the company in the courts, to defend its rights. In general, I am satisfied with my work, it brings me satisfaction and good money. I recommend this profession to everyone who has a lot of patience and who likes to deal with many documents.
