As an American from the moutains, everything about London was pretty cool when i went. I'm certain that would change if I lived there, but it was all pretty nice. Even taking the tram was pretty sick.

The less nice parts of the city though are pretty scary though desu. I stepped out of the tourist area to go on a tour of Jack the ripper, and I saw my first legitament African's sitting in an alleyway behind KFC shooting heroin. They tried motioning me to come over because I was staring at them, I'm sure it was so they could rape and rob me. Avoid anything east of the City and south of the Thames. If I were you I'd look around Hyde Park and possibly Marylebone/Regent's Park. I know that Paddington and Bayswater have some extremely cheap hotels and are reasonably located (Zone 1), although I'm not too sure about the quality and you will 9/10 times need to take the Underground to get to any of the attractions.

AirBnB should be the same price everywhere in Zone 1. Avoid the deeper parts of Chelsea due to severe lack of transportation links, and avoid Soho since you will likely not be able to sleep due to all the noise and general degeneracy (if you're lucky your AirBnB may be located next-door to a brothel).

The holy trifecta. I lived in Osaka for two years and it’s the perfect city in my opinion. As much to do as Tokyo but easier to get around on a bike and everyone so friendly albeit more so you speak Japanese.

Japan is so incredibly safe. The first night I flew into Tokyo it was like 2AM and I was walking toward my hotel and the gps took me to this dark as fuck unlit alley area and I was like shit this might be dangerous.

I look around and there’s just a couple regular businessmen in suits and regular people strolling about like it was noon. I was blown away coming from an American city. I didn’t see a single shady looking individual the entire time in Japan.

Everything there is so neat and prompt and punctual. People do their fucking jobs to the best of their ability. And people go with the flow and energy of their surrounding on a much deeper level. You don’t have a bunch of degenerate shouting in the streets. There’s no food or little everywhere. Everyone is friendly and peaceful. It’s truly a superior culture in a lot of ways. I love both; have been to Kyoto 20+ times since it basically down the street from Osaka. Kyoto is a much smaller city so not as much to do, but definitely more serene and upscale. Same with Kobe, more snazzy high-end sort of feel. But I still liked Osaka most because it’s so easy to get to Kyoto Kobe Nara etc from there and Osaka itself is obviously the biggest city with the most to do in terms of random things. People considered a bit more crude there but that makes it a lot easier to make friends as they’re more open and less stuffy than Tokyo or Kyoto generally. Jazz bars are so amazing in Japan, all over

London is based all you need to do is live outside it and commute.
