I haven't been this stressed out in a long time. Despite multiple talks with my bosses, I still honestly have no idea if they're going to can me or not mainly because they continue to be frustratingly vague about it even when asked at point blank if they're going to fire me.

And the car thing, fuck. I grew up extremely poor and am deathly afraid of falling into debt. My worst nightmare is finding one within the budget I mentioned, going for it, and then not longer having a way to pay for it. Any suggestions?

Buy a cheaper car, holy shit.

By a 2000 car

Stop asking if they're gonna fire you. They won't tell you anyway. Just do your job and start looking for a fallback.

As said above just get a cheaper car.

What are your plans to improve your situation?

Well, the head IT guy used to work in design (web, graphic, media), architecture/interior design, 3D modeling and animation; all things I'm good at and have displayed in one way or another while at my current phone-calls-and-paperwork desk jockeying gig. He noticed this and was (bragging?) to my boss that I'd be better suited in one of those fields and she agreed. She told me this and I asked for his contact info to see if he's still got any connections in any of those fields.

I really do want to work in one or more of them, but found no success in trying to break into them thus far. I did the thing so many have done and went for the safe/boring job and I evidently suck at it.

you are living rent free and you don't have some money saved up? have you tried selling the car that crapped out on you and then add that to your savings?

Come on man, life is only as hard as what you make it.
