Therefore, if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above; where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God:
Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.
For you are dead; and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory.
...
Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another: even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so do you also.
But above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection:
And let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts, wherein also you are called in one body: and be ye thankful.

I think it's because the deals aren't that great.
I only wanted some cheap 2TB SSDs but they aren't any cheaper than they were on Prime Day, months ago.
On the other hand, people still will feel the need to buy the requisite amount of plastic crap that they do every year.
So it might be OK consumption levels even if Black Friday sales are soft.

They killed black Friday when they got greedy and moved all the sales to Thanksgiving Day. As if everyone would just tell their family to fuck off one of the three or four times a year they get to see each other so they can save $100 on a TV. Not only did they not go but they boycotted other sales because their nephew couldn't come to dinner because they were getting trampled by the literal niggers trying to buy a TV for minimum wage.

They moved most of the sales back to Friday but it's not the same anymore. Everyone will shop online if available or not go out at all. It used to be a major event for most of my friends and relatives where they would wake up early and spend all day shopping and going out to eat. Another fun event ruined by greed.

Reminder - VIA/CBS merger is a done deal Dec 4th. So both companies will be a single unit and have just two stock classes (A & B). VIA stock is a hell of a lot cheaper than CBS and after the deal only the new company stock will be used. Why pay more for CBS when they are gonna do away with it (and VIA) and use the new stock name anyway. So bag the cheap stock, reap the rewards later cause you know at the very least you'd see the value double right from the get go on Dec 5th. (CBS is at $40+ a pop, VIA is 24 a pop).

Yeah I meant refunds, sorry honestly too much doc review lately. I think househould spending will constrict after refunds are lower than rust belt families expected two years in a row. I monitor rural area strip clubs across three states through a few friends for signs of slower refund spending and last year was remarkably low for all of them. If we have a repeat we could be headed for some trouble.

Very interesting. I bet you could get some interesting data that way, though I don’t know how you got so well connected in that industry. And tax refund season is usually a good time for business? Very interesting...

Tax refunds are just interest free loans to the govt though, if they’re paying less in taxes but getting less back in refunds, well I guess people aren’t rational beings after all.

Learn accountancy? To what, evaluate balance sheets and free cash flow and such?

>Learn accountancy? To what, evaluate balance sheets and free cash flow and such?
I guess? The earnings reports are so standardized you can pretty much get a feel for how to interpret them in a few hours though. Honestly though, with the way stocks trade around earnings, sometimes up sometimes down in loose or non existent correlation with the actual health of the company, I'm not sure how much that would help. That'd be a long hold fundamental approach probably.

NVDA: 215 or 212.50 puts til it fills the gap to 210, then go long for the ride to 250.

SHOP: holding 340, 350, and 390 calls in deep profits since underlying was 317, but might cut them loose if Black Friday numbers seem dicey/Friday performance is flaky. Still, expect this name to cross 350 easy and make a run for 400 within the next 30-60 days.

SQ: looking for a modest pullback to 65/66 range, then long. I want to own this for the inevitable recovery to its former 100 level. Cash app just introduced free, fractional normie-digestible stock trading, plus SQ terminals are still literally everywhere in small biz retail and mobile/event/festival/convention environments. Cash app has a lot of room to grow and when I put on my normie-cap, it really is the least-effort digital payment app around, with the best extra features. This is what kills RobinHood, with the exception of Options. Would be best for the bottom line for Cash to stay the fuck away from options and margin though.

GILD: attempting another breakout from its virgin-tight 60-69 trading range that it's been stuck for a year now. Keep a close eye on it, set alerts, as soon as it breaks over 69 with a close, nigga gon' run. Very solid 3.7% yield, and has yet to participate in the pharma rally that's been going on for the last month. Oh, and AIDS.

MO: tobacco ain't going nowhere, son. Looks to be recovering from its own personal long-term bear market, although we can't be sure until it retests the lows or gives a solid couple weeks over the 52.50 resistance zone. Fundamentals point to it being ready, as the company is positioned well either way the Feds decide on vaping. MO owns 35% of Juul, as well as stakes in some other small-fries, dudeweed, and I believe PM Intl. Nearly 7% yield with plenty of upward range to grow, too. Finally, if you're concerned about a recession, MO is actually a defensive play. Nothing to dislike about this company, smoke more goy. Buy.

Also DYOR on smaller/regional banks/financials. The likes of RF, FHN, HBAN, etc. I think these names are looking severely undervalued and have a few things going for them compared to their hyper-kike big boy brethren (GS, BAC, C, JPM, WFC, etc). Stock prices have been relatively low beta recently. The companies themselves have been merging, while simultaneously not exposing themselves to the same level of TBTF high-risk behaviors (they still do, just not as much, because they know their chances of getting gubmint bailouts in another financial crisis are low compared to the Multinational Jew Corps, because they mostly got ignored in 2008/2009, too). Div yields are good on these names, too. My only concern is they are not doing enough to innovate and separate themselves from the big dogs and fintech in the services arena. The first one to acquire a quality fintech or de-fi company and merge traditional banking with the new school could see some major gains...but that is all speculation. For now, they're fairly boring, safe plays that have been mostly ignored in favor of big shiny and blue chips. Smart money is probably quietly accumulating as we speak.

Unironically TSLA: you all laugh now, but the Cybertruck is going to change the game by the time it hits the streets in 2 years. Musk is about 5 steps ahead of the old boomer managed jewmobile companies. Keep laughing, bears will continue to fuel the pump to $1000.

TTD, PAYC: the best in online advertising, and the best in payroll management. Both seem frothy and expensive. But they both do what they do exceedingly well and are making some major inroads into the incumbents' territory. TTD is probably a future takeover target for GOOGL, FB, or another player entirely that needs to up its online ad game to compete with the former. PAYC, same deal, different industry. Don't go all-in, but a low single-digit allocation of your portfolio would be wise.

All you can do is look at past performance and use that as a guide.

Since WW2, the stock market has been in a bull market with some significant pullbacks along the way.

Generally it's safe to continuously put money into the S&P 500, but every so often a market correction happens that wipes out the gains of the last decade within the space of a small amount of time.

Happened in 1974. The S&P went to levels last seen in 1963. 45% drop.

Happened again in 2009. Went back to levels last seen in 1996. 56% drop.

And there are corrections all throughout the 60s, 80s, 90s that are pretty sizable.

I do the same thing with bitcoin and turned 2500 into several hundred thousand but bitcoins moves a lot more so it's easier to do. The key is that support though. Recession is coming 2021 at the latest. Slowdown already begun and smart people will enter the bear market before it is too late by next week and the gold price will skyrocket.

If you want less risk by not getting into early or perhaps feel unpatriotic while increasing possible gains in the bear market then short the EU euro stock markets, Dax oxm and stoxx. Europe is more sensitive to American economy, you got brexit, the banks in Europe are barely scraping by and the euro currency is gonna blow up before 2025 according to all in the know. Plus much more difficult for Europe to come up with unified countermeasures and bail outs and to make matters worse, a few countries have negative interest rates and no room to maneuver. Bear the fuck out of Europe!

Unlike America that can lower interest further, easily throw bailouts and has stronger economy with less debt to gdp. China is also bad because they have massive reserves and ability to survive a depression and a central planned economy. Anyway, if you wanna get rich guys.

Don't do it! When/if weed has another bull run you will have some warning. There are zero technical signs of trend reversal yet. To give you some perspective on my advice here, I often will bite on some pretty flimsy bullish evidence and it's a habit I am working hard on curtailing. ACB doesn't even have that yet.

>>16414419
One defensive measure I have adopted recently is the idea that you should move a percentage of portfolio away from index correlated sectors to non-correlated sectors, like utilities (especially water and electric, less so gas) and certain commodities when the bullish feel on the index begins to weaken. It's working out quite well indeed. Better than anticipated.

Do me a solid one and look at the ACB chart, put on the weekly and zoom out. What do you see? You should see a huge accumulation area that happened back in 2016-2017, that's where price will have the largest chance of bouncing from. We tested the highs of that area but looks to be going down if we don't make a higher low, but you still have that area to buy at.
That's how I entered my position in CGC

Doesn’t matter, either trump keeps the economy and stock market in full bull until November 2020, or whatever dem is put up wins.

He will ALMOST CERTAINLY succeed in this because the fed and tax cuts. But if unemployment spikes -> market panics, then the economy could take a hard downturn and trump could lose.

Doesn’t the census start next year though? That’s even more jobs “created” even if they’re temporary. They still get counted in the labor statistics for 2020, though that could be rough in 2021 when they finish.
