You're not wrong, there hasn't been a single project that has achieved mass adoption and only a tiny few have a working product. In the last 10 years Bitcoin and a lot of Alts have had absolutely insane runs, they still represent the most overvalued speculative asset of all time. What we have seen is the big companies just make their own blockchains rather than invest in something pre exisiting, this trend is likely to continue and the old projects will turn to dust.

Central banks and entities like the BIS take blockchain and crypto tokens very seriously but they are retarded about the way they approach it. Instead of buying up half the supply of BTC (easy for them) to control any given currency they try to regulate it. It might take longer than all the crypto bulls think but eventually the system will adopt blockchain or get disrupted by someone who figures it out before them. I admittedly talk to a lot of guys who have been working on blockchain projects for years though so maybe they are too bullish about it.
