Fucking half the posts on /biz are about LINK and all the chatter has drawn a lot of attention to it. The chatter is also on twitter and has picked up attention on leddit over the past 6 months or so and the price has reflected this unwarranted attention.
The amount of chatter/autistic shilling about it has made people think this project is more legitimate than it is, and more legitimate that other projects that actually do a better job for the same task. However the team has accomplished almost nothing since they started.

Here's a little history lesson for you nulinkers.
Pre ico link was only sold to people willing to pay 300 eth or more. Some anons that proved they have more than 300 recieved a link with a wallet to fill with eth in exchange for link. These anons shared the link here and other anons sent small amounts. I bought 7 eth worth.

So it happend that many anons held link and most of the discussion was happenning here. This caught the eye of the discord niggers, who figured out that big chunk of the traders of this coin are getting their information form this free to use, annonymous website that csn be spammed with whatever. And so they spammed it. The days of etherdelta were insane. This board was filled with posts about link and i mean FILLED! Like 90% of posts. It was always waves of few days of fud followed by a few days of shilling. It slowed down over time but it is still happening to this day. they are much more childish now, no attempt at real fud just trying to trigger holders. I suspects it's mostly just loser neets that dont even have money to swing and are just doing it for the hell of it.

What if someone hacked into the data feed your smart contracts are reliant on. What if it was a bad actor from the inside that had access to company passwords? What if there was a computer bug? If you are reliant on one channel for data, you might not even know it happened. But if you use multiple nodes who cross verify information, you’d have to take down the whole network to do that. And even if there was a mistake, the risk is on the node operators bc you could get that collateral back if they fucked up.
