well bro... it's all written in scientific papers.. common DOC disorser including compulsive acts to cope with anxiety... SSRI would help but they are libido killer.
I wanted to cope with 5htp supplement and they were doing pretty well (5htp + ashawaganda+ GABA) but found out on internet an incularable disease associated with 5htp called EMS

I take CBD, vitamin D, good fish oil and probiotics. The odd valium if it gets bad, maybe once a month. The main help is via forums and YouTube videos re. recognising it for what it is, you are not your thoughts, everybody has weird thoughts, just people with OCD dwell on them.

Your brain is like a hallway with a million doors, and the more you open a door, the easier it gets to open. Learning a new habit is like smashing a hole in the wall to build a new door. Repeatedly doing the same thing given the same stimulus is like walking down the hallway to that door, removing the hinges, and just leaving an open archway. That's what drinking when you're stressed or want to be social is. You're making it exceptionally easy for your neurons to snap right to drinking whenever you get slightly stressed or anticipate a social event. Eventually this correspondence will become so strong that you won't be able to stop yourself (you have OCD, so you know the exact feeling I'm talking about - being in the sunken place shouting at yourself to stop what you're doing.) That's alcoholism, and it will sneak up on you while you believe you're "choosing to open the door," per se.

You won't realize it until you're four beers in because you're out with friends even though you promised yourself you'd quit 48 hours ago. Alcoholism isn't raging "I WANNA DRINK" or "WAHH I CANT QUIT" it's casual "Ah, it doesn't really hurt much."

Alcohol is a temporary fix that won’t last forever and will be far more devastating long term than living with OCD/schizoid. Go to a psychiatrist and he can help you come up with a plan to get off the booze and prescribe you something legitimate to help with the OCD.

Btw I’ve been sober for 5 years. Was diagnosed with BPD/major depression along with a host of personality disorders due to massive drug abuse (acid, coke, ket and GHB mainly). Everything cleared up after around a year of being sober. Not saying your case is the same but I’d recommend some level of skepticism as substance abuse can make it very difficult to pin down mental illness, unless you were experiencing consistent symptoms before you started drinking.

My friend got diagnosed with schizophrenia but I don't believe it. I know this guy all my life. Now he's on meds that make him super dumb. He hears no voices or anything. They shoot him with electro shocks too. I heard they run experiments on him. I would stay away from shrinks.
