Never could force myself into buying this shit even for the pump value because the token is not needed. It might sound like a meme at this point but bear with me:

Why the fuck would the devs buy the tokens back from holders at a higher price than they made (hint: out of fucking thin air)? They can run the platform in the backend with their own tokens on ethereum blockchain why the fuck would they buy tokens and burn them from the supply to make "investors" richer? Also VIDT devs get paid in USD by clients, why would they buy VIDT from exchanges with shit liquidity with the USD they already have to get VIDT to burn it? It doesn't make sense like nigger you already had the dollars why buy tokens and then burn them to make the rest valuable? They already made the money they were supposed to make with the tokens running on backend and providing the encryption the clients require.

This shit is a shit deal for any "investor" buying from an exchange. I bet the project works just fine and the shit is legit but why would you fucking buy the token?

Why did you post this thread? What are your motivations? Why would anyone spend time warning anons? Why are you concerned about our investment? Why do you care how V-ID gets paid? Why do you browse 4chan? Why do you spend your Friday morning posting about V-ID? Are you by chance interested in buying? There cannot be any motivations other than fudding to buy in cheaper, can there be not? Why am I not addressing any of your legitimate arguments?

They buy them back to reward token holders for providing funding and to increase the value of their stake. Buy and burn is the equivalent of a stock buyback; equivalent to a dividend in traditional finance. In this way they pass on revenue to the tokenholders.

Clearly the idea behind the buy and burn is to create a value proposition to the token holder, incentivising holding and speculation.

Security token and the team is lying to you by saying it's a utility token.

To elaborate on this, dividends are typically based on net income, where the percentage of dividend is calculated off of revenue minus operating costs.

In the case of VIDT, we completely bypass net income for revenue before expenses, so a the VIDT buyback is actually far more than the standard dividend/buyback from a traditional equity. 10% net is already a large dividend by traditional metrics and VIDT surpassed even that

You're in crypto supposedly buying a "utility" token, so why are you talking about dividends and revenue.

Because it's easy to see if you look at it. The nomenclature is lawyerball to bypass regulations, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's effectively a dividend.

Stock dividends today are used to bypass dividend income tax, token buy and burns are the same.

You're really gay for trying to suggest I'm going to be dishonest with my assessment, like you're somehow trapping me.

>You're really gay for trying to suggest I'm going to be dishonest with my assessment, like you're somehow trapping me.
The point is that V-ID is lying and VIDT is an illegal security, even in some parts of Europe. You have no idea what kind of information they presented to lawyers when supposedly a nameless UK firm confirmed it's a utility. Netherlands happens to give no fucks about crypto. Admit VIDT is a security token and the logic of the burns make more sense.

>> No.16267339

In that case every buy and burn token is a security token, including BNB. They offer system incentives too but the main reason to hold BNB is the buy and burn. Legally, VIDT has not started the buy and burn will result in a profit. So until a legal framework is created to define buy and burn as a characteristic of a security token, it is not.

But yeah, the reason why I like it is the potential returns of a fixed 10% revenue buyback, so I treat it as an equity. Curious how they will treat their token equity offering relative to VIDT, should be interesting. I suspect the offering will change as regulation develops.

You can use BNB to buy an airplane ticket or a gift card. It's virtual money. You cannot use VIDT to buy anything. You cannot use it for anything without a subscription plan.

I know. That video is clear evidence they're implying the price will go up because of the buy and burn.

>> No.16267751

I mean, they def list the buy and burn as a reason to invest, but they don't outright state that the buy and burn will generate a profit. Which is obviously implied, but they are playing lawyerball the right way to skirt security token status. At least with today's standards.
