My expenses only run up to maybe 24k a year, playing it safely 30k. Add maybe a bit of luxury and even then it'd only be like 36k-39k a year. Give my family 1/X a piece, keeping 1/X myself. Enough to put the majority of the money into several stores of value and investments so safe its unlikely for me to lose the money unless I die cause I dont take the money with me.

Simply ain't true Anon. Real estate is somewhat safe, yet not a huge ROI in the end, considering renovations, taxes, other costs. Stock market has been doing exceptionally well lately, yet that can also change, as it always periodically has. And the fun gambling money you put in crypto ... is fun. No more no less.

This. It's actually well documented. In one case the guy was even already a multi-millionaire and thought np im already rich im just gonna keep doing as always. His kids "friends" turned his daughter into a junkie to get through her access to his wealth. Son got abducted and the wife divorced and left cause she couldn't deal with it. That's also not even half the bullshit that happened. Don't remember the full story. And the dude donated and shit but of course it wasn't enough.

Interesting...I wonder how much of the lottery winners downfall is a result of their sole actions rather than pressure from friends/family.

I made 6 figures from crypto and stupidly told my friends. (didn't actually tell them but I told them before it blew up and then they worked out how much I must've made). And I've already felt pressure. Just from 6 fucking figures, hey bro let's do a business, hey bro I need to borrow some money, hey bro pay for this, hey bro where's my huge birthday present.

CAn't imagine the pressure from someone who won the lottery. I've literally told all my friends I fucked it and just stay low key now.

Nonetheless you admit it is easy. It was a rough draft nonetheless. Dollar cost average the real estate, land, and gold/silver over time just in case stuff happens. As for stocks I'd pass for now, prices could keep going up but I can wait for a dip, max 0.25% into stock market (no options unless they are far out call options in the middle of a recession or depression or far out, 2022, in the money puts on a super expensive company at a time like this). The real estate alone does earn something and if prices go down you still have a home and land. The undeveloped land is for personal use and intended to be far from civilization, low cost + high acreage + comfy wilderness.

Exactly the bank, even the cheap ones. If you played it risky you can get over $8 million on interest alone. Spreading it across multiple accounts sounds like a pain. Simplier to buy real estate and land. Real estate far from civilization can be fully decked out in case the country your in collapses youll have something still. Heck if you got enough money and spread it across multiple countries all you gotta do is claim refugee status if the country your in collapsed and you still have a chunk of wealth.

because they can’t manage or properly spend wealth. Most people who buy the lottery are retards so when they get a huge sum of money, their first instinct is to satisfy all their vain desires. When they realize that doesn’t make them happier, they just keep buying to fulfill their never ending desire for more. Also family members, even ones they’ve never heard of or spoke to, start flattering them and bleed them dry. That large sum is then spent quickly and the lottery winner is usually worse after because of it.
