Blockchain is actually an inefficient data/media storage for the end user: it's much more expensive (transaction fees add up) and much more slow (the blockchain has to verify and synchronize all the data) compared to regular database servers.

Most of the stuff being stored or utilized that has potential imo is back end solutions for business anyway. The data that finds itself saved or used on the blockchain will get there ultimately because it's useful.

As of right now posting cat pictures to the blockchain is novel, but will people really be doing it much in the future? idk. However using it to secure and monitor a supply chain sounds incredible and the amount of data required is fairly trivial, it just needs high throughput and the ability to do interesting transactions.

I've also heard him reference social media posts and other systems. I don't see the issue with the quote. Metanet will absolutely consume the internet. If I use BSV for a micropayment to google 1/10th or even 1/1000th of a cent, how have we not created a system in which the internet is radically changed? Bitcoin completely turns the whole way we've been using the internet on its head and provides for a multitude of models we haven't even thought of yet.
