The problem arises when you have to take into account the state of politics in certain countries and how they can affect your future. I'm not saying I want to live on top of mount everest or something outlandish. I'd be perfectly happy if I lived near a forest. Imagine being near such a place every day and what a pleasant affect it has on your mental and physical well-being as opposed to a city that is deteriorating. The architecture is shit, so not even that can be admired.

I agree with you. Thankfully I live close enough to some forests and seashores, and when I go for a walk I can take a route that will have almost no people and buildings, just the necessary infrastructure like roads. I would probably go insane without such opportunity. The Japanese call it forest baths btw, and list a lot of health benefits, even instant stress relief.

What do you think of ecopolises? I think it's a step in the right direction, also corresponds with the metamodern narrative developing in the global culture. In fact, I think this ecofuturism would fit quite well with something like Olafur Eliasson's works applied to architecture. But I think we won't really need such a big population density anymore, so I guess the cities will look even more comfy and relaxed.

I did. LSD itself has become very boring, even taking 3x doses. Candyflipping was cool. DXM/LSD was and I'm 99.9% sure it always will be the most pleasant experience in my life. I don't have any words to describe this experience, I'm not even able to ever have them. This is beyond everything you could imagine, like inventing a new color. LSD/Ketamine was really fucked up too, but less pleasant than LSD/DXM mix. Kind of more structured but not less dissociative at the same time. Damn dissociatives are hell to describe yet fun to take.

Actually this inability to describe some kinds of experience because it's fucking beyond everything is going to be solved by Elon's neurointerface as well. I think it's the most important thing a man is currently working on.

>> No.16198201

That is interesting.
This is what I've found:
>So, what is a regenerative city - ‘Ecopolis'? It is one that relies primarily on local and regional food supplies; it is powered, heated, cooled and driven by renewable energy, and it reuses resources and restores degraded ecosystems. This is diametrically opposed to how many cities are currently run: they use resources without concern for their origins or destination of their waste products; they emit vast amounts of carbon dioxide without ensuring reabsorption and they consume huge amounts of meat produced mainly with imported feed, often from devastated rainforest regions.
I'm not sure given the current political/corporate climate such a thing would be allowed to happen. But it seems like a step in the right direction, indeed.
>Olafur Eliasson's works
Sorry, not familiar with them, but will check out.
>But I think we won't really need such a big population density anymore
Big densities are only good, at least in the psychological sense, if they are made up of people you know and are your friends, relatives...
If you're, however, in a dense place filled with who-knows-what then it is a drag. People will have less concern for their actions and will think they can get away with them more easily. Let's not forget traffic and other nonsense that goes along with it. Just performing simple actions guarantee some stress.

yeah, ok. working for a living is not slavery. you have the freedom to quit your job at any point and look for a new job. or you can quit your job and become homeless. or move to a new town and start completely the fuck over. the choice is yours. there is nothing even remotely close to slavery about it. slavery is unpaid, forced labor. you don't have choices, or self determination. you do all the things that your master tells you to do. for free. or else you get a physical beat down with no legal repercussions. now do you see the difference between working and slavery, jackass?

life is work and there is no avoiding it. if you're not occupied by some kind of contract that makes you work for someone else, ideally you're working on bettering yourself.
the people that refuse to simply get even harsher lessons (= work) by what they call "fate".
you are not here to just exist and then not exist, you are here to improve.

What 'big' are we talking here? Because something as uncrowded as a typical american suburb could well fit your frens and this scale is also totally stress-free. Imagine there being no roads because we got rid of cars!

if you think working 8 hours a day(if youre lucky) with +- 1 hour of commute is not slavery just because youre getting paid then youre severly mistaken

50% of your monthly income goes for paying rent, taxes and bills, 25% is food and 25% is idk, saving? yeah good luck with saving with that, the system is designed so you literally have little to none savings

8 hours a day(if lucky, 60hrs work weeks are becoming norm) +-1 hour of commute + 8 hours of sleep is 17 hours, so you ahve 7 hours left in that time. You come back from work at around 5pm, you have to cook, everyone is too tired to go out EsgjkirqhWBKJAETWB THIS IS NOT LIFE HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE IT.

JSUT BECAUSE NO ONE IS STANDING ABOVE YOU WITH A FUCKING GUN AND TELLS YOU THEY WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DONT WORK DOESNT MEAN ITS NOT SLAVERY, THE SYSTEM IS LITERALLY DESIGNED FOR WAGIES TO BE SLAVES WITH THE AMOUNT OF INCOME WE ARE GETTING AND TAXES AND RENT BEING EXPENSIVE AS FUCK

Shut the fuck up boomer. Most people work to survive and are in fact slaves to their situation. Unlike you 50+ year old faggots, our generation cannot simply pack a bag, take off, and land a random job somewhere that pays well enough to buy a bungalow and raise 5 kids, you mong.

How the fuck is that "improving"? Is sitting in a cubicle for 10 hours a day followed by 2 hours of commuting an improvement? Because that's how most people live their lives. The endless pursuit of materialistic goods and the payment of debts.

What an awesome life.
