A while ago I opted to get paid on skrill. It was trash but you could buy crypto with a huge fee, like 3% of the whole sum.
The bitcoin was just starting to pump from 4 k to 6-7k and I got really afraid it might go to 100k.
I was afraid because I knew some retarded people in real who were into bitcoin and just the thought of them getting rich while I don't make any money was driving me crazy. So I bought 1 whole bitcoin. When it started to dump back to 11k from 13-14 I sold it. I was actually happy it was over and I didn't have to check the price every time I open my phone.
So I made like 4k out of it. Wouldn't do it again tho. Just save save save, buy property to rent out and move in a country safe but with low living cost.(I already live in one)

I made 17k by buying into the WAVES ico and selling it at the right moment (could have sold for more, but I was greedy and held)

Added it to my down payment on a condo, put down 20% to avoid pmi. Feels like things worked out OK.

I am a regulatory consultant for biotech (pharma, med device) and I am semi-silent partner in some food related businesses (regional food stands, etc). I also have a blog that I've monetized, although compared to the actual money I make of the first two that one is more just because I enjoy it.
