/biz/ this may sound absolutely schitzo but I had a thought about the creation of Bitcoin. Thinking about when it was created, when the Government had just bailed out a whole heap of banks. A certain department may have needed funds as well as means to put those funds into stuff that may not be essentially legal by US law. Thinking about the halving as well. Why is it four years? Not one, or five but four. It's a few months before a presidential election. How long does it take roughly after a president is sworn in to get their budget to various departments? How long after and the halving does bitcoin take to hit its peak? What if a certain department perfectly timed this so it's funds can go into various activites without drawing attention? Am I insane? Probably. Just a thought. One more thing. Gavin Andresen went to the CIA in 2011. Satoshi disappeared not long after that meeting.

yes govt sells BTC to pump the stockmarket, they have all the silkroad coins and they pumped it too. long term play to get around currency controls. They may have not made it but they certainly took it over, and in likelyhood the NSA did make it because they are gonna pick up any halfway decent cryptographer they can.

The Road to Roota is a similar theory, but with the twist that it was a group of secret patriots aiming to take down fed reserve after 2007/8 bank bailouts. Little bit q-tard but many aspects of it do seem interesting and is fun to think about.
