Good luck to you on that, anon. On my widgets there has not been a single buy signal on CGC since April. Over six months bear market with not one half ass fake out pump mixed in. ACB's last pump was March. APHA's chart is a bit more interesting due to two surprise earnings beats, two buy signals during the weed bear market, and both turned out to be fake out sell offs in about a week after the initial spike. Then there's Tilray with it's classic bubble meme chart pattern. Really nasty year for Canadian dude weed.

On the positive side of that, I credit the dude weed for teaching me in no uncertain terms, and some considerable money lost, that knife catch cost averaging a bearish stock is a fool's quest.

The fed canceled the recession haven't they. Its like they want him to serve another term, so they can justify zero rates. As long as companies keep borrowing cheaper debt and buying their own shares, markets will be artificially propped up. Intrinsic stock value based on earnings and dividends has gone out the window, with valuations being driven by rate cuts and infinite QE. Wagies will be encouraged to borrow more debt to pay for school, cars, houses at lower rates. There will come a point when wagies won't be able to borrow anymore. Most households already live on the edge by going paycheck to paycheck. It may be the result of some black swan that will ultimately be the catalyst for bringing on the next great recession.

the shit that drives everything that people take for granted....semiconductors

in particular, blue chip semis...I've made an absolute killing on INTC betting well before this previous earnings that it was gonna break out. China uncertainty made it a key player thanks to solid divi, plenty of non-China production, huge moat, excellent management, strong R&D, diversified products, and consistent margins.

AMD is cute, but it isn't INTC, especially when the recession eventually hits. NVDA gets honorable mention for AI and gaming. TXN, LXRC, AMAT also solid for the industrial, diagnostics, and semi company tools.

did you just get the memo? don't do your own DD? As much as many of us wanted a good ol' macro draw down, the writing was on the wall back in September that it wasn't gonna actually happen until 2020 or later. Shit hadn't gone high enough to truly be the mother of all bubbles. You will see what insanity is soon enough. Impossible to predict when the shoe drops. Just go long, use some profits to hedge a bit, and let Jesus take the wheel. Fighting the trend is a surefire way to lose it all.

Trust me, I was like you spring chickens back in 07-14. I fought reality for far too long as I lived and learned to trade just before, during, and after the GR. I basically cut my chops by shorting. Made a ton. Problem is, I didn't go long until I lost it all because I was so sure it was fake.

Well, fake can take you pretty fucking far. And it's still going. The day the Fed green lighted the repo shit, I knew the fix was in. SPX 3500+ DJIA 40k, Nasdaq 10k. Rate cuts just sealed the deal.

I'll second that. They had good results and they'll be rolling out even more products. Why is it dumping?

Also someone explain Tesla. My thesis is that it's a bubble like BYND, fueled by fanboys who dont care about the actual company and fundamentals because they're sucking musky dick. So when they mislead investors via accounting fraud, and the short sellers, who were right, were forced to cover, and are hesitant to jump back in, the stock will just keep getting pumped full of air until that gap up is filled back down.

Tesla is overhyped. At the end of the day the vehicle gets you from point a to point b. Eg Ford is under $10 from what I recall. Pretend this affected a cars value. Would you rather buy a brand new Ford for $1000 or a brand new Tesla for $40,000?

It's like Apple. Their value is only high because of all the fanboys buying their stuff. At the end of the day it does exactly the same thing as a windows pc. Kicker is Apple came out with an idea to sell a cheaper iPhone (as if they didnt overprice their phones knowing the fanboys would buy it anyways)

Another example consoles transitioned to pay to play online. It used to only be Xbox. No real benefit considering what you lose if it expires. Yet the fanboys for playstation would scream their little hearts out "Muh free $120 - $300 of video games and its to make online service better." I have a ps3 (ps+ not needed for online) and ps4. Online service is the same and if I want a game I'll just buy it. Too bad no multiplayer even for a game where the game is between 2 ps4's not psn servers (Minecraft or Terraria) or the fact that you still need to buy an internet connection. Pretty much just use PC now at least I dont have to pay twice to go online and the games are cheaper.

A former job there was a high level employee who drove one of them teslas. Pretty much a starus symbol but you do get free fuel by parking in one of the EV stations.

Do realize without any kind of knowledge about day trading, you're set to lose your entire stash. I started trading (I don't like calling it day trading, it's more like scalping/day/swing trading for me) back in 2016 and I lost my entire stash in like 4 months, it took me roughly a year before I finally started being profitable.

No. You won't learn that way. Trading is as much about psychology as it is about strategy. You have to have some skin in the game to be elated on the highs and fearful+pissed off on the lows. I suggest putting some small amount in that you are generally okay with losing, trade with that. And backtest! If you're using a combination of indicators it's very important you go through a bunch of charts and see what those indicators told you to do at critical points, then measure to see how much you would have gained or lost.

you will have to be constantly learning new words and phrases. Each time a concept comes up that you don't understand, use a search engine like google.com to look it up and read about it.
When reading about the phrase, you might encounter a new phrase that you don't know, then you have to look that one up too.

If you get to a point where things are really dense and complex, you've gone too far. You want to start with simple concepts like "what are earnings" or something like that, where you can read about a subject and understand most of it. Then go on to the more complex stuff later when you have a foundational understanding of the basics.

If you're plateauing just up your dosage (amphetamines and psilocybin for starters, you can go on to more advanced alchemy afterwards if you want to)

Nah, paper trading is bad. You don't have the feeling of risk in your brain when you're trading with 100k that is just fake money you don't care about. Start with something you can afford to lose, like $1k or whatever because you WILL lose the money. Don't risk $30k if you only have $80k. Also while you're training for several months, look for stocks that you like because learning certain ranges in stocks will give you an advantage.. almost like you can predict certain movements depending on the volume and daily trend.

I for example started trading the NQ from day 1, I have now traded it for 3 years and I can safely enter a position with only a 6-10 point stop loss without getting stopped out because I'm used to the price action. It's hard to explain but you'll understand it in time. But yeah, start with $1k and go from there.. easy peasy

We've all posted our thesis several times now. But I can basically summarize it as a question:

Should a company, who has improved performance significantly over a short period of time, diminished downside risk (debt) while working toward long term goals, and becoming one of the top performing drug cos in the US over the past year, should that stock be trading LESS or MORE than when they were just about BANKRUPT? If you think it should be worth MORE, than you should be looking at a price target between $25 and $30, given the improvements. If you think LESS, then this is about the level you should be buying anyway for some profits in the mid teens. If you think company is worthless, I'd like to see some reasons, but you dont have to convince me either way.
