Let’s be real. Chainlink does have the potential, and most likely will hit 1k (FUD).

Here’s something we have to keep in mind though for our sanity short term -

There are only like ~20 node operators right now. Staking may take us to the 5-6$ range, but we won’t get past that unless we have 10k+ node operators.

At that point, there is enough spread in trustlessness for the derivatives market to begin using link.

Remember - we need node operators. And unfortunately, Sergey is KYCing them daily, which means slow slow slow growth.

There will be hype pumps for sure, but our network isn’t in full swing yet until we get the crucial node operators # to an amount that literally guarantees any smart contract users that the finality of the outcome will be as intended, always.

That’s all

Bro I'm just hoping we see triple digits in 2 years. Do you guys think thats possible?

Man it totally depends on whether the network becomes usable! That’s the awesome thing about Chainlink.

It’s not like BTC, where value is up for interpretation. It’s either the network works, which means it’s done, the derivatives market WILL be captured, or the network grows too slowly, and derivatives is still an option but not within two years.

Again, comes down to whether we have enough node operators. That’s the network effect.

Seems comfy to me though. Either works or doesn’t, no in between. Just waiting for more operators... we need thousands minimum.

>short term sanity
if you are same you will end up selling early. the only way to make it is to become insane up until link breaks 1000$. then everyone will call you a genius. for now however, pee pee poo poo

No need for that many, 500+ nodes are enough for most of the transaction types and their traffic at this point, and that can (and will) be achieved just with Chainlink enthusiasts, even those wouldn't be profitable at the beginning.

If traffic grows and nodes are profitable, more nodes will be created, it's organic growth which will come automatically.

Remember, Sergey has a lot of supply to compensate network participants, growth can be created really fast in case needed.

500 nodes seems awfully little for managing trillions in settlements, let alone billions. I wouldn’t trust that and I’m a Sergey cock guzzler, no homo of course

>sergey is KYCing them

I'm not a chainlink holder and haven't read enough about this altcoin, but what do you mean by this?

Is this coin centralized? The developer can approve and disapprove nodes? If so, isn't it a problem in a long term?

>> No.16171826

Shouldn't they focus on streamlining and simplifying how to set up a node then?

for now he needs to KYC the first set of node operators
he outlines why in this post

Correct, it's a centralized vaporware coin
>>16171866
Sergey's blogpost is a lie. Their design is not sybil resistant, it will literally always need KYC until they actually write the code that makes it sybil resistant, which will never happen because they are scammers and haven't released the specs for it 3 years and $50mil in funding later.

the most bearish thing is that not a single linker can refute any argument successfully, proving that every single one of my points are accurate. There's literally 50 of you retards getting BTFOed daily sperging insults cause you're unable to disprove no one is using Chainlink in production.
