the IBM Simon. Innovative, ahead of its time. But ultimately doomed to failure due to lack of demand and simply being too early and clunky.

The same was said of Toilet many years ago. What's this water? I have to sit where? WTF does "flush" mean? Where does the poop go?

This is the only worry I have about Chainlink that keeps me up at night.
For every Facebook, Google, or iPhone, there's a Myspace, Yahoo, or Blackberry that paved the way and became a "coulda-been."
Is Chainlink the great idea that opens the door to the actual smart contract success story?

Everyone of those companies could've net you a ton of cash if you got out when the getting was good. Even if some other company supplants Chainlink down the road, you can still make a shit load of money if you get out at a good time. Remember, bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered.
