Well, that's a bit depressing, wish I started browsing this board a lot sooner. Regardless, I'll still dump money into it. If your problem is that you aren't able to be more in than you already are that's a good positive reaffirmation to keep stacking even if I wont have a "make it" stack.

Even if the project accomplishes nothing long-term, look at shit like NEO in the last bullrun. Nearly $200 purely on speculation and it does pretty much nothing other than be a chink ETH clone. Speaking of ETH, $1400 for making tokens. LINK will make ETH and all dApps work and should explode if we get even half the excitement of that last bullrun again. Think about it. Buy as much as you can while you can.

I have over 13k now, mostly purchased around .50c and I was a neet during that period. Literally the week I got a job we had the pump to over a dollar. The irony is if I had been employed in 2018 I could have accumulated 30-40k but my unemployment is what led me to learn everything about LINK. interest in crypto fully saturated. and those who took interest saw it for what it is, niche uses providing marginal value. this new wave of "defi" is a pathetic attempt to rekindle mainstream interest. smart contracts have been available since eth launched and NOTHING of value has been built. there are no greater fools anymore. im not a maximalist (im a boomer nocoiner, its comfy btw) but btc is and will remain the only crypto worth touching. the amount of retards still grasping at straws within crypto post-2017 is astonishing.

Keep investing, try to get at least ~250 LINK quickly.
Then once LINK's price drops back to $2.50-$2.65, setup 3x leverage long, if LINK's price doubles, you will double your stack after repaying the borrowed money. LINK is never going to go under <$2 again so you likely won't get liquidated.
Afterwards, spend time identifying one more easy setup like that, and you'll have a 1000+ LINK suicide stack.
Interest for margin is usually very low, like $1 for every 4 days your position is open, so using this method you don't have to panic if it doesn't moon immediately.
Small risk for high reward.

word on the street is that staking is fundamentally flawed, aggregration is simple not enough to stop sybil attacks/collusion, rendering chainlink essentially useless for it's perceived high-value use cases like derivatives... you didn't think it would be THAT easy did you anon? CL still has it's place as an oracle service, centralized of course and yes, sergey is right about one thing, the space is moving BEYOND TOKENIZATION
it's over unfortunately, staking will be delayed for 6 months + in a conceited effort to "on-board" verified nodes, but really, do you think 100, even 500 verified nodes would be enough to run the trillions of dollars worth of derivatives on? No... 10,000 nodes maybe, but theres no way to make sure these nodes aren't corrupt without them being KYC'd/authorised/centralised thus rendering decentralization pointless for LINK
