Chainlink has 950million marketcap.

for 10x it will need 9.50billion marketcap. thats fucking almost ETH MC.

and 100x it will need 95 billion marketcap which is near BTC marketcap. and still we aren't even near of 1000$

where all that money will come from? i'm not convinced.

link need fucking ETHEREUM marketcap to even get to 27$'ish. and still it has ZERO users and fucking gravelcoins...

It's quite simple. Assuming the math checks out, the next bullrun will send the overall market cap into the trillions. Something like XRP reached a $150B mcap at the peak in 2017. Many useless shitcoins also ballooned into ridiculous market caps.
Now I personally don't think literal scams/memes will moon massively like they did in 2017, in fact I think most will continue their bleed to 0. This is good though, as it will leave even more of a market share for the projects that do deliver real value. The oracle problem IS worth quite a lot of money. Whoever delivers on it will profit massively. For now, Chainlink is the only project actually working on a solution and you'd be stupid not to have at least a suicide stack.

Of course you could say that bubbles won't happen twice, but that's what they were saying in 2015. I wouldn't bet against bitcoin and against crypto.

During the last bullrun, at the peak, every top 10 coin had a marketcap higher than the current ETH marketcap - and some of these coins are/were definitely worse than chainlink.

It's simply how market cycles work my friend. The pessimism in crypto right now very clearly resembles the pessimism that circulated in late 2015.
Things can't just crab forever. Either all of this is going to 0 or we're having another bullrun. In my opinion, we're right on time and the next bullrun is upon us. Crypto will look MUCH different after the BTC halving.

>dot com bull runs were there?
Well two, at least. The initial speculation hype and now the last decade.
You can't compare stock market cycles to crypto cycles though. Crypto cycles are MUCH shorter and much more violent in nature, due to a number of factors.

There were basically two...1990's-01 and 08-present.
But not 'dot-com' as you mean per se...there was just one (90's) and the bull run since 2008 was less dot-com and more tech/com.
I say this because I believe (just speculation on my part) that there may be another crypto run in the future, but its going to be a '3.0' with bitcoin revolution being 1.0 and the use of ether platform/altcoins being 2.0. I'm not sure what could bring about the 3.0 but I'm convinced its going to be something like a new platform or something along that line and people will be speculating with the newest shitcoins on that platform. It ain't Link though, thats for sure since its already its own erc20. Not sure what though, just my thoughts.

The ONLY reason Link has any traction is because it has such a well organized shill/pnd group behind it. EVERYONE has made the point that if it actually did what it claims to do, it WOULD ALREADY BE $100 and companies would flock TO it. And to make things more 'real' is the fact that if this blockchain usage actually gains traction, Chinese companies can tweak this and make a 'Link 2.0' and render ChainLink vaporware status overnight. Why people don't see this is beyond me.
It hasn't sunk because crypto is one big manipulated market and well positioned algos/walls can unduly manipulate the price.
It's NEVER going above ten dollars and only then on a huge spike (maybe the next TruffleCon?)
It IS tradeable as is all coins, nothing more.

>What's stopping the real world players from just copying the oracle solution or any crypto technology for that matter?

Pic related goes in depth if you really care. Ultimately, decentralization is the key here. Just look at Libra, even if they did try and make something decentralized, NO ONE trusts facebook or any major player to go through with it. These things have to be built from the ground up and only startups can achieve it. Also achieving a trustless, distributed, and secure network takes a long time (again, regardless of the money you have to throw at it). Chainlink at this point has a MASSIVE first movers advantage. The sybil chasm is tough to cross and I believe Chainlink is well on its way to doing so.
Also, the thing about an oracle network is that its a natural monopoly. The first to build one will dominate the market due to network effects.

That's literally the point of decentralization. I hate it as a meme redditnigger concept, but as actual implementation...the whole idea of the network is it CAN'T be suppressed or interrupted.

Combined with the cost reduction/savings, business will have no choice but to adopt to compete. This is going to go 0, 0, 0, to 100 real quick. The only possible failure is rushing the 0's...once the network works, there's no stopping it or using another option (for 6-10 years minimum...once the boomers are forced to adapt to survive, they're not going to jump ship again immediately).

I want to start lamboing just as much as the next person, but fundamentally changing how the entire world exists and does commerce actually takes longer than eoy.
