It can take 2 weeks just to have liquid cash to trade. If you’re really interested in crypto, start with coinbase pro because you’re a total newbie. While you’re waiting to get verified, spend time getting familiar with coins, what they do, and how they’re being developed. Do your research and don’t buy anything on a whim. Also take time to understand the basics of the blockchain and how to keep your accounts secure, you don’t want to spend all this time and then lose everything because you get hacked or you don’t know how transfers work and end up sending your coins to the wrong address.
