Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Platinum?

Credit isn't a problem. Mainly interested in lounge access at airports, but Amex costs more per year and is not as widely accepted as Visa. Thoughts from anyone with experience owning these?

Just signed up for the CSR. If you’re looking to get into credit card churning (getting credit card bonuses a lot), then start with the CSR because chase only lets you have 5 credit card applications over the last 24 months (otherwise it’s an instant denial).

American Gold/Sapphire preferred combo or nothing. If you travel Amex is safer but jpmorgan shills are widely accepted

If you have a Platinum card, you can get a Gold card without having to pay the yearly fee for it

They're both sort of complimentary actually. I have the reserve and business platinum.

Additional authorized Gold cards are a perk for platinum holders

Platinum, hands down. Priority pass sucks and that’s like your only option with the sapphire.

With the plat you get into all centurion lounges + if you fly delta (best domestic airline imo) you get access to their skyclubs which are top tier. Oh, and you get priority pass on top of that (which u won’t want to use)

I have the CSR and about to close it and switch to Amex Platinum. You get credited back like $450 out the $550 annual fee so the cost is about the same but the perks are better on Amex. Might as well get the sign up bonus on both though if you're not a broke faggot.

ah I’m sorry fren
what domestic airline do you prefer? international is a different ballgame but US carriers are typically trash

Southwest has always been nice. Also, Air France (delta's partner airline) was great the couple times I flew it. Have no clue why they can't have the same service in the U.S.

CSR is great. Up to $300 is rebated back to you automatically for all travel related charges automatically. Trips booked directly in the UR portal are worth 1.5x more than their cash redemption equivalent. What's your FICO score?

Also, for anyone reading this, please reply with your FICO credit score.

FICO is around 795. I'm a mild traveler but I dine out a lot and I like Chase's loose definition as to what qualifies as "travel". After doing some research I'm now leaning towards CSR.

I only have one credit card (BofA cash rewards) so I figured I'd go with Chase first and get Amex later on down the road when I have time to travel more.

Great FICO score. Send me an e-mail before you submit an application to anything and say hello. reddit@secmail.pro
