Under normal circumstances you and jimmy would have to complete to see who will sell their Lit for the cheapest because there are 40 tokens available but I only want to buy 20 therefore the “supply” is greater than the “demand”. Now let’s say you decided to stake your 20 Lit. You can’t sell those tokens because the are locked up. Do you understand that you can’t sell tokens that are staked? So now Jimmy can charge any price he wants because you can’t compete due to not having access to your tokens. Thus the “demand” is greater than the “supply”.
