>worked 4 years as a self-employed HVAC tech
>EPA Universal
>Contractor's license
>Own van + tools
>No financial debt
>No criminal history or drug use

Still can't get a job because I have "no experience"

They cannot verify my work history because I don't have a business license. I guess a brand new van and garage full of tools and old water heaters isn't good enough.

Yep, that's how all employers will treat you, even though you have gained new skills.

I experienced this myself when I was self-employed for around 5 years.

I started contracting at a shitty rate and gradually increased my rate with each contract.

Why not just lie on your resume? I screwed around during my 4 years of college and when it came to finding a job I just put down that I did contracting work for a company that is no longer around. Nobody questioned it.

I can relate. I've run furry porn sites for a year now and while it's heaven of a job if i ever have to go back to the real world i'm screwed.

I work from home 3 days a week, office for the other 2. It's pretty sweet.
