I worry I won't do the proper thing for orphans and widows. God says, should I have a farm I should leave the corners uncollected and only go over the grain or trees once and leave the rest for the orphans and widows.

I am actually thinking about getting a farm and having the homeless do what the Bible says. They can collect the food and then eat the grain and fruit, and that will be the only charity they get.

There is nothing Biblical about soup kitchens or the like.

I fell for the economic collapse meme.
Kept $100k in my gun safe for the last 10 years because the economy would "collapse any day now".
Missed out on the biggest bull market in history.
Didn't even contribute to my 401k and get matching contributions from my employer because I thought my money would be safer in my gun safe.
Bought gold and silver :(
I even bought Canadian dollars in case the USD became worthless. Yeah real fucking smart.
Probably could have made enough to retire by if I invested in index funds.
And people here are still with the "economy gonna collapse any day now" meme.

I took about 20k of my friends funds, told them I'd invest them into Crypto. Shilled them on shitty coins while riding moon missions. They barely made any profit. Then I sold them on the whole "HODL" train. They are still hodling ADA all the way down up from 0.06$ down from 1.10$, while I cashed out somewhere at 0.50$. At this point I don't even have to tell them to hodl, they are convinced things were their own doing and prices will eventually rebound.

5 months ago I no longer held any of their money as I paid off my parents mortgage on the houses (plural) I'll be inheriting. Just since a few months I managed to scrape by enough of my salary to make my debts whole again in case we do rally again. I am a pretty shitty friend :(
