It's not the 17th century anymore homie, nobody is storing wealth in silver, anybody who was, got absolutely wrecked. Look at India and China. They had a monetary system based on silver and when all the western European nations switched to gold backed currency and started stockpiling gold only, the Chinese and Indian societies saw a 70% decrease in wealth. They never recovered. India and China used to be on par with European white nations. Then they got left behind and are paying for their silver mistake till this day. I wouldn't even buy gold. They'll start mining the bottom of the ocean eventually. And if silver explodes to 10k an ounce, they'll open more mines, hire more miners, and meet the demand till the price starts dropping. how easy do you think it would be for rogue roaming bandits to cut it off. The reason they dont now is cause they know theyd be caught and punished really badly, and it would be for no reason too. When the government becomes really tyrannical, even moreso than it is now, youll find some people wont just sit there and take it when their livelihoods are threatened, for example if the government wanted to nationalize the farming industry and some rural farmers didnt want to comply. All theyd have to do is cut the wires that go beside their houses and cut down trees all over the roads and they could really almost permanently fuck up any effort to reconnect the grid and prevent the authorities to apprehend them. that was a strategy during the civil war when cutting off telegraph wires to prevent communication, in this case cutting off electricity is basically taking away your A/C, heating, lights, refrigeration, and in some cases your cooking.

Anyway I'd split some 5% in gold 5% in silver 20% in BTC and the rest in short term bonds if you want to fight the inflaction.
