Do you seriously think bitcoin is actually a threat to the USD? The 9th most powerful military on earth just bent the knee at the prospect of US sanctions. America controls 90% of international money flows. If they actually gave a shit about bitcoin they could crush it overnight.
>Ban all fiat exchanges
>Demand all countries do the same or face sanctions.
>Threaten to jail anyone who runs a node or mines with aiding money laundering charges. Everytime you go online you are painting a target on yourself.
There you have it biz. Your shitcoin stomped out of existence in 48 hours. You think equador or some shitty african country is going to risk their economy to keep your shitcoin afloat?

the US will severely fall behind in the global financial arms race if they ban crypto. even the chinese are far ahead now, by digitizing their currency and accumulating as much BTC as possible (as are the russians). the entire world is searching for an alternative to the USD and you think the US will win out? kek

as long as the government can act on bitcoin, it does not matter, they will just profit from it, which they already do since some time.
the banks still have a lot of manipulatory power by trading.
the government has a lot of power on the legislative.
the cryptography can be subverted by agencies.
you name it. but it does not matter, bitcoin will stay long term for sure imo. there are just too many different actors who profit from the network purely technologically or as speculative asset. there will be security vulnerabilities with huge consequences which will get patched and so on just as already seen. its here to stay despite everything.

Thats the point of this whole thread. If it was actually a threat it could easily be crushed. Give the goyim an illusion of safety. Just internal whispers of a US government crack down would get leaked quickly and spark a massive selloff. You just cant win against the reserve currency that controls 60% of international monetary flows and the Euro controlling another 20%. If central bankers gave a shit, and they will when they launch their own currency, its game over.

>every fiat currency in existence has gone to 0
...except the ones that haven't.

Historically, most governments have made the mistake of setting the value of their currency against another currency or precious metal. Currencies on the gold standard are vulnerable to hyperinflation when the country issuing them runs out of gold. Whereas if the market sets the value, hyperinflation is extremely easy to avoid.
