It is no secret because it isn't used what are you talking about? Nobody is using LINK, we have like 13 nodes live spamming the ETH heartbeat and that's it. Maybe soon there will be another set of shitcoin prices spammed paid by 700k dumps but that doesn't mean anything because literally nobody is using it. And you know why? Because nobody is using smart contracts or decentralized finance shit, there's literally 0 volume on that shit and you deluded retards think that magically all the businesses will start buying tokens for this and for that? Come on, stop being retarded. There is 0 demand for this shit, this space only exists because of lazy want to get rich people and some oldfag bitcoiners who do this for fun and cruise from one conference to the next in their private jets and yachts.

What is centralized about that?
>is this data for real?
>yes it is
>prove it
>this is the official public key of reuters
>ok
>now look, we have the private key and signed the data with that proving that the data is coming straight from us
>okay thanks

You don't need multiple instances of a centralized data source, it doesn't make sense.

There seems to be a mistaken belief that chainlink’s network is decentralized for ideological reasons, when in reality it is decentralized by design. False or maliciously manipulated information from a centralized source isn’t the only pitfall, there is also the possibility of incorrect data or data outages. A centralized oracle is a single point of failure, which can have devastating results if thousands of transactions per hour rely on that one oracle.

It’s fine if they want to develop their own oracle. Chainlink is scalable and was designed to allow the existence of private networks within the greater ecosystem. They are free to join in with the rest of the network and contribute to it however they see fit.

the hard part isn’t verifying the data the hard part is getting it onto the blockchain. the decentralization is for ensuring the data on the blockchain is the same as the signed data

>> No.15955639

>>15955305
No. The eth price is being plopped on the blockchain for free. You don’t know who is reading it just by looking at the explorer. You’d have to read the contract code of every contract to know.
