Facebook is dead
Instagram is dead
Twitter is dead
YouTube is dead
Google search is dead
The music industry is dead
The movie industry is dead
Netflix is dead
The News is dead
Network TV is dead

Anyone with half a brain must notice at this point... all of these things have become completely dull, generic and HEAVILY politicized and it is causing people to tune out.

So many people nowadays only have social media because they can’t remember life without it. But it no longer gives them dopamine or any joy whatsoever.

No one goes to movies other than Asian audiences now.

No one watches the news other than boomers

Facebook is literally 99% insane middle aged women now

Netflix is hiding the fact that their productions are losing insane amounts of money

Instagram and twitter have been dead for like 2 years now. Practically no new organic users.

And to top all of this off google search has been completely revamped and is almost completely unusable unless you’re trying to find an IKEA or Starbucks or Wikipedia article

The internet will eventually be the equivalent of your fathers newspaper or your grandparents 6 o’clock news. It will just be ads and billion dollar multi media companies. It won’t have that unauthorized, edgy exciting, unknown feeling it did in the late 90’s early 2000’s EVER AGAIN.

I’m surprised no one is acknowledging this

Why isn’t anyone acknowledging this?

Everyone who knows all this is waiting for the Recession to come and demolish it all.
Once that happens, then there may be grounds for rebuilding with more soul.

28yo boomer here. I remember when the internet was first becoming big, I read an article saying that it would eventually degenerate into something like "channels" on a television. Bored of the Facebook channel? Go to the Instagram channel. Want to coom? Go to the PornHub channel. When was the last time you went to a website other than Facebook, Google, Wikipedia, or a small handful of others? When they killed eightchan they were talking about how it was hard to shut down such a website as it exists outside US jurisdiction. All the other mainstream sites can just cut shit off whenever they or the US government feel like it, and the only other sites you can go to are... what? Maybe some business' website? Some businesses don't even bother with a website these days, they just have a Facebook page or whatever.

not asian and go to the movies twice a week

more and more people are drinking less alcohol because it makes them feel like shit, which wasn't so bad when you were a boomer and everything was good, but the economic toll is weighing heavy on people these days and can't afford to feel like shit or they'll have anxiety attacks.

Without the alcohol there's surprisingly very little social outings that can be repeated without getting boring, going to the movies is one of them and based off their growth statistics this year (not including china) the majority are shifting towards it.

Are there other non-alcohol activities to go out for that don't get repetitive? Going out for dinner doesn't count.

If you can answer that, invest in it today, it'll be the biggest ROI you'll make this decade.

I think all points are valid, but it's somewhat US centristic. the effects and tendencies you mention might not be that strong or even existent at all in other regions of the worlds. e.g. facebook gets very differently used in 2nd world countries (emerging markets) etc. Europe and especially the USA are in free fall and rotten from their core, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world is on par.

>>15954185
with 28 you aren't a baby boomer dude. you born in 1991 wtf. you are a millenial. even if you are born early 1980s, you are a millenial.

Those websites are not dead, stop fabricating things.

Where did you get that number from, faggot? Intuition? It seems you don't like Facebook so you decided to come up with that. Is this how you make investment decisions? Lol what a fool. How about you watch Facebook's earnings calls?
