What will this coin be needed for? For what reason(s) will people conducting real business in the real world need to get this coin, leading to increased demand.

When will this coin be needed? Is it a case of speech, "partnership", conference, speech, "partnership", update, conference until infinity? Or is there visible light at the end of the tunnel?

Imagine you are Amazon, delivering millions of items every single day using an enormous fleet of drivers. the items are shipped to your warehouses, packed, and delivered all over the globe. to keep everything accounted for, Amazon tracks all of these individual items and pays their suppliers once they receive their items and their drivers once the work has been completed. much of this is automated, but many aspects such as the verifications of delivery, the review of records, and the disbursement of payments require manual input, which on this scale takes a huge amount of time and money.

Imagine now that all of this is instead handled by smart contracts that ping oracles for gps data to confirm delivery, supplier warehouse stock information to confirm incoming goods, the current price of crypto for payments. Now imagine that this is layered on top of an automated delivery system, with driverless vehicles making pickups and delivering goods. An automated system running 24/7 that is fueled financially by automatically-running smart contracts, which are kept secure and correct thanks to the game theory principles underpinning LINK. The network guarantees that these contracts will execute faithfully and immediately, maximizing efficiency and allowing the operator to scale infinitely larger as the company grows.

You don’t have to be Amazon to take advantage of this. Any small business that buys and sells goods can take advantage of the extreme convenience offered by smart contracts and the LINK network. They will greatly increase the speed of business while reducing the costs, by digitizing bulk financial transactions and their underlying contracts

Thanks for the response. I'm guessing LINK will have to migrate to another chain at some point if it's going to reach that scale. 15 - 25 TPS doesn't seem sufficient for what it's trying to achieve.

This definitely sounds like a moonshot. If they can achieve this then great, but for the time being it just seems like an idea that people are interested in exploring, not something tangible.

Smartcontracts are, simply put, the future. Companies not using this tech will die out to companies using it because they will save in so many areas, time spent, payroll. This is like going from paper to using the internet in some ways. We are betting that, with first mover advantage secured, link will be on the forefront of this "4th industrial revolution". There is oh so much more info. You will find it if you search and lurk.
