>emergency alert is aired
>the stock market has tanked 33% before circuit breakers could activate
>the stock market is closed for "people" to cool off
>as if it wasnt the algos that caused it and research is immidiately done to make sure they dont sell off for no reason
>October 16
>you wake up earlier today as your account is down 33%
>market seems stable
>you turn off the tv
>later in the day your account is down an additional 33%
>circuit breakers were not quick enough yet again
>stock market is closed for the week, economy is in shambles, and you are let off from work for the week while the executives at your job figure out what to do
>you sold all your stocks in the morning, happy you didn't lose it all
>October 21
>stock market open
>you refuse to leave this time
>stock market suddenly goes up 500% in mere seconds and flat lines
>"Where's the circuit breakers!? Why only when it goes down? I missed the moon mission!!!"
>You refuse to buy.
>October 22
>markets pumps by only 250% and you buy in
>October 23
>markets dumps 99% before circuit breakers activate
>October 24
>market dumps by 33% before an executive order permanently bars algo's from being used in the stock market
>the stock market crabs for the next decade

Someone would be dead by Friday and no not by suicide. I consider an event like this the start of the Boogaloo and athat point it's time to scalp heads and let heads roll. I don't have anything on the market yet and am waiting for TVIX to go under $10 or $9 to go all in on.

Have you figured out the split/reverse split dynamic? Like what happens to your money when you buy TVIX before it does the inevitable splitting that all 2x and 3x instruments do?

For TVIX, if the Stock Market Volatility (VIX) goes up, you make money. Basically, if the market crashes, the volatility goes way up and the TVIX should have very high returns. BUT almost all 2x and 3x investment instruments decay rapidly as you hold. So, noobs who hold get ashed and most other people get rekt with wrong bets as markets girate. Very common to lose your shirt betting on VIX moves.

That's is the smarter thing to do. Although the economy could just stay like this in peak economy for a couple more years. I could try to chase the bimonthly bump TVIX seems to always have instead of the 10x end of the world surge.
