I'd explain it to you but you sound like a brainlet and wouldn't get it. Without having to read white papers and dyor the easiest way to tell is by carefully analyzing biz sentiment. This is difficult for a newfag because this place is infested with indians and discord trannies that confuse you with paid shilling and fake fudding but if you've been here for a while you should be able to see right through that. The most obvious sign with chainlink is how long it survived and the quality of the memes. No other project has lasted nearly as long nor has the shilling been as high quality (talking about 2017/2018 LINK threads). Last tip- anything that is shilled as "the next bitcoin" or "the next ethereum" is a one-way ticket to poverty.

But you got people going against years of biz posts saying 10k make it 1k suicide, who are now constantly and falsely spamming the idea that 10k is a suicide stack, which is like 27.5k usd, and thus out of reach to most everybody. You have to realize that almost all projects in this space, like digibyte and nano, offer nothing really new except fancy bells and whistles. Digibyte just offers faster block times and multiple ways to mine it, which is nothing crazy. Nano offers some block lattice which speeds up transactions and again is nothing crazy. But when I first read about Chainlink.... it wasn’t a scammy impossible project like skycoin promising to change the internet from the ground up, but a progression of technology that really solved an issue in this space. Look at it like this

Bitcoin was the first digital cash that solved the double spend problem

Ethereum was the first platform to add business logic behind those transactions

And Chainlink is the first to allow real world data into these contracts

This wasn’t fancy bells and whistles. This was an entire new market being birthed if this project succeeds and that alone is very exciting.

Most in the crypto space have no fucking idea how a smart contract even works. Just talking in general, most people on this planet are idiots. 1-10% of /biz/ regulars are much, much more intelligent. Some of those noticed LINKs potential in 2017 and started shilling it relentlessly. More and more intelligent ppl joined the wagon and now we're here. Before you buy, let me tell you a story.
I was visiting San Francisco to see one of my friends. We went to a strip club, and while I was there, I saw Sergey, surrounded by women. He was throwing tons of money at them, but not just bills. It was stacks upon stacks of $10,000, sealed up with the white paper bands, like he had just come straight from a bank.
I went up to him and congratulated him on the success of Chainlink as of late (this was about a month ago), and he started laughing. He took a hefty swig from a bottle of Dom Perignon, and said, "Yeah? You think I care, stinky?"
Confused, I asked what he meant, and said that he had obviously put a lot of work into LINK and he should be proud.
"I don't give two fucks about Chainlink, kid."
He was about to say something else but one of the strippers tapped him on the shoulder. Sergey pulled out from his pocket the biggest ziplock bag full of cocaine I've ever seen in my life. It looked like one of those gallon bags, almost bulging at the seams. The stripper ran off into a back room with it.
He then pulled out a Zippo lighter.
"You wanna know what I think about Chainlink?"
He picked up his bottle of champagne on the floor, pulled about 20 stacks of bills from a duffel bag, threw them on the floor, poured champagne all over them, flicked his Zippo, and dropped it onto the pile. Almost instantly the whole stack caught.
I stared at him, speechless.
"It's called a 'PUMP and DUMP,' kid."
He laughed as he watched the pile burn before losing interest and going into a back room with his entourage of strippers following carrying duffel bags full of what I assume was money and coke.
This is the man you are supporting by buying LINK.

It’s been 10k ever since the term suicide stack was invented you nulinker scum

>> No.15892752

I have 20k at an average of $0.30 and until this year I felt I hardly had any LINK. A lot floating around /biz/ with big stacks.

Quite simply, there isn't much point coming here for old timers though. No need for research now and lots of new people who simply don't know much.

Nah, 10k was always the bare minimum for a suicide stack in 2017 and 2018. Think about it for a second. 1k link only cost $200 last year. That's less than a suicide stack

250k, Lt. General.
never selling.

if you know what link is, you'd know 1k is enough

I bought a stack early 2018 after lurking for 3 months. I read every single link thread and listened to the arguments of the shillers and the fudders. Back then there was real fud, not just the low quaity ironic fud that is posted here now.
I noticed that in pretty much every scenario the shillers would btfo the fudders with logic and facts. They had a watertight argument for why chainlink is going to be big. So I bought in at the absolute bottom of the dip to .19 and my portfolio hasnt dipped below my initial investment ever. Chainlink is the best thing I've found on 4chan, and I've been here for over 10 years

I bought 100$ worth 2 years ago at 11 cents and I only have 300 at the moment and its the worst feeling

>> No.15893852

I have 9.1k, which feels bad. I really want 10k but Im already prices out of adding on more because LINK just costs alot more than when I bought in.

Also, I don't want to try to swing, because I'd most surely fail.

>> No.15894036

>>15889257
Sure they did. The general consensus was that 10k is a suicide stack, somewhere between 20k-80k was a making it stack, and 100k+ was a fuck you money stack. Go check the archives, i'm not making this shit up

You are me. I've added some not too recently, but my initial buy at the bottom was too small. I also can't find my old passwords, and shit. I haven't dug deep yet, I think I know where that journal is, but it's a little disconcerting.

man. I wish I'd started lurking this board before may this year. I read every link thread and it took me until link hit 1.50 for me to actually take the red pill. oh well.

I agree with this anon. 30k became the min to make it after yacht party marines. I'm sure 100k is a fuck u stack but even the poorest of poorfags a year ago had 10k

Kek us presalers were able to pick up LINK for under 2 cents per token. A 100k stack was under $2k. I still have over 900k LINK left to dump on nulinkers even though I started dumping at $1.50
