Could anyone give me a quick glance and opinion on PETS? I keep glancing at it. started a position.. but still unsure about it... Some bear on stocktwits says its not a good investment because they've been spending money on ads and the revenue isn't growing from it... he turned out to be right.. but yet they still have steady customers.. at what point would it be of value? It looks to be paying a good dividend and it looks like there is no dilution of any kind in sight.. they have 5,000 a/s on the prefs but only 3 issued??? their debt is minimal as fuck... the market cap is only 371million with 50% of the float (float is only ~20million shares)

What are the bears seeing that i'm not seeing? there's gotta be a reason for the high short interest.. but why? Even if the company stays stagnant in it's revenue growth it should continue to pay dividend and the stock should fluctuate accordingly... Also I think they could be a prime candidate for some type of take over/merger. Why? because they already have the infrastructure to sell drugs for animals online. It's much like when amazon was in talks of taking over RAD for their pharmacuetical sector..

The business looks really good even if the revenue is "stagnant" what am I missing? Thanks

If you're kinda nervous you should take a step back right now and ask yourself why you're nervous.. Do you have too much capital on one trade? Are you not feeling the same about the trade as you did when you first entered it? If so why? Has sentiment changed? Is your set up still there?

If you're nervous about a trade why not trim some of it and let the rest play out?

Imo depending what you're trading.. but.. right now I think both buying calls and puts are pretty risky on the broad market... Looks like a kill the premium type of situation going on

I know it's unrelated.. but I just played some bad ass fucking pool tonight.. like straight up beat about 20 people in a row to were I had a crowd around me.. It was such a good feeling since I haven't gone out and played for awhile

Also.. back when my ex and I were together we ended up aborting 2 kids.. it was tragic.. but her family would want her married first.. anyway.. started talking to her here and there again.. realized we've been ment for eachother for far too long.. get to talking rekindling our relationship (that a lot of people would want).. a few days ago.. called me to tell me she has cervical cancer.. balling her eyes out about how we should've just had the kids and blah blah blah...

Anyways.. sorry for the blog but should I feel bad? how should I feel.. I mean.. like I feel right with her... but is it worth going back to someone that kicked me to the curb? esepcially when they might not even be able to have kids anymore??

Again.. sorry for the blog post jannies.. I have nobody else to ask and I thought it might keep thread rolling...

Generally more comfortable with putting down more capital on puts than calls. At the same time bigger plays can earn more. Literally dropped 2k on call options due to various suspicions that it will rally by then. The fact I'm nervous that it will go down more is calming me down as that's usually when the opposite happens, hopefully. Plus puts seem a bit dangerous at the moment due to earnings coming soon'ish yet lucrative on the chance a recession is announced.

BUUTT.. what about medicine? could you see something like a pets mart buying PETS in order to compete with pets.com? I'm trying to look at it like a stock/business point of view.. PETS seems to have something going for them they just don't seem to know how to market it?? Do you happen to know any other competition out there? I'm really looking into it because I haven't really found many flaws except the fact that their revenue has declined a little and their ad expense has increased but they seem to be keeping their bottom line of customers. If this revenue stays stagnant aswell as expenses I can it being as a good investment for dividend and some growth.. but also I see it as being a possible buyout just due to their infrastructure. Since I got your opinion on where to shop what do you think about investing business wise in value?

I think there might be a fundamental problem with the business itself. Haven't studied the industry so I'm just guessing, but here's my thoughts: 1) how often do pets require medicine? And when they require it, are there any leftovers from the pack? (basically do pet owners have a need to use this service often?) 2) Don't pet owners usually buy their medicine directly from doctor and if so how to the company competes with them? (doctors are like one stop shop - need for meds, gives the meds, gives advice).
3)Which states they operate currently and how widespread is pet ownership there? (eligible target markets)

The CNBC article cites the Bloomberg article, which cites an anonymous insider in the negotiation teams.

>Trump has repeatedly in recent weeks said he is opposed to a “partial” or interim agreement with China that would see the Chinese step up purchases of U.S. farm exports and his administration put further tariffs on hold. He has also, however, touted at least one such limited deal that some close to his trade team quietly see as a possible model.

They can publish whatever the fuck they like and spin it however they like to trigger Algos.

>> No.15862583

This is how algos can be manipulated. Already heard this song before, China will do a partial deal for the US to drop tariffs. Wow they are willing to buy basedbeans. I swear algos love basedbeans, headline anything basedbeans and you have the algos on strings. Trump isn’t goin to go for this partial deal, he already stated it’s going to be a full deal or nothing. If he settled for just basedbeans then dropped tariffs, that chess move would be bad. He would of went through all this for nothing and be known for bending the knee to China. This isn’t even a half way deal, it’s a we’ll be able to say we tried but really aren’t budging so drop tariffs

But it's still correct to say that low interest rates make it cheaper to short-sell stocks (or buy on margin) compared to higher interest rates?
And as the interest rate falls, the effective rate for some marginal positions could fall pretty low...
I wonder if monetary and financial policy makers are taking into account the concerning possibilities when you have a combination of high equity valuations and a situation that makes short-selling much cheaper.
In the past couple decades, we've only ever had super low rates after an equity selloff already happens, not before it.
Just something to consider for everyone out there buying puts (don't do it, if you're going to be bearish, shorting is a better deal right now).

Whole body composting is coming in vogue after it was discovered the practice of incinerating bodies was pouring mercury into the air.

Embalming is on the way out in most municipalities as all the corpses end up leaving by formaldehyde into the ground water. So ironically as a grave digger the work will be increasingly to dig up remains for processing and cleanup. This might be a good opportunity to pocket any fillings which will have a small amount of amalgam. Separating the gold is easy with a small crucible you can perform mostly safely on a stove top (with exhaust on).

If you end up in mortuary services, much of the corpse prep work will email all the old practices with better materials. You'll still be draining blood from the veins and pumping in colored solution but it will be moderately biodegradable. Without the stiffening effect of formaldehyde you'll be excavating more and implanting balloons to keep soft tissue from deflating, which is more work, but in general the work is far more pleasant without the formaldehyde fumes.

Either way mortuary is a gold mine. People tend to spend freely on services, much of it paid out by insurance, the inventory is cheap to source, and business is accelerating with the boomer cohort death rate increasing rapidly.

Also. There is a bull market in tiny coffins for abortions and miscarries with big profit margins per unit burial space.

I think the future is the trendy customised symbolic burials of sacred objects, pets, etc.

US dude weed roundup up of relative strength shown under bearish adversity: two MSOs and one CBD company are showing slightly better technicals than the rest of the lot lately. They are, Green Thumb Industries, Curaleaf, and Charlotte's Web (CBD outfit). All three are in potential bull flag with some attempt by the bulls to reject invalidating sell offs. Not one is these is green light BUY presently but they're approaching that territory.

As far as Canadian companies go, they're all trading pretty much the same. It's all bearish with no meaningful pivot off the recent low clear yet. ACB has very slightly better strength on the chart but it's marginal.

Sunken cost fallacy. If you believe your money is better spent elsewhere or just sitting out the game for a bit, sell your position. Don't fall for the "well I'm already down this much I may as well hold out for the long term". This is only a valid strategy if you have Buffet level confidence that the company will succeed.

The Empire is getting a massive cash influx. Haha, the debt will be getting knocked down almost 2 billion more thanks to it. It's a win win for them. Selling of assets that lies in prime hurricane areas which oh boy cost a fuckton to keep up/repair if some shat happens. Your window to bag oh cheap shares is rapidly shrinking as we speak. They spoke about share buybacks as well soon as the debt is knocked down more. Soon you'll be forking out $40 per at bare ass minimum. Long Live the Empire!

Orange man has the American Zeitgeist with him on China right now, with the South Park episode and the NBA, he should strike while the iron is hot.

If the Chinks do go home, he'll do one of two things;

1. He'll wait a few days and slap tariffs on.

2. He'll wait until the Fed announces their interest rate cut on the 30th of this month, and then slap tariffs on.
