Those calls are a bit out there. I've got puts out to December and March. Not winning on them at the moment but I'm fairly sure those puts will be in the green since I'm expecting a recession or depression. As for the 10/18 calls those are terrifying one's you have there. I have like 4 puts for 10/18 that are about 1.5k or something around there. Looking at the steam hardware survey and Amazon bestsellers list it looks like they’ve sold quite a few chips this quarter. I’ve been loading up on calls when AMD was in the 28$ range. I’ll buy a few more right before earnings. I used to be bullish longterm since AMD’s new server chips are quite better than intels. But since intel has hired Jim Keller I’m much less bullish. He’s the guy who made AMD relevant again if you didn’t already know. He is what made the stock go from 2$ to 30$. I’m not really confident in AMD’s outcome in a year or two timespan. And that’s when Keller’s new chip should be released and make AMD irrelevant again. Also their graphics line is irrelevant they’ll basically never compete with Nvidia again. Plus Lisa Su is thinking about leaving the company.

Trading is simple, but it’s not easy. If you want to be good at it, you need to be disciplined. You have to actually be interested in and dedicated to learning. You need to have self control so you aren’t one of these retards FOMOing into shit because it’s going up or down. You need to stick to a money management plan so you don’t blow your account up like most people do. I could buy 100 contracts if I want to, I could have made 8.1k today instead of just $810. That is the wrong mindset. Too many people get stuck on shoulda coulda woulda, too many people will not get out with a profit while they have it because they are waiting around for it to go higher. If possible 5k is a good minimum account value to begin with.

The only things that actually matter- Price action and volume. Learn to read candlesticks, what they mean, how they form and the significance of their position on the chart. Learn patterns like buy and sell set ups and 3 and 4 bar plays. Learn about support and resistance. Learn how to do premarket scans and how to read those charts. Learn about gaps and relative strength and weakness. Check relevant news.

The only memelines that are vaguely relevant are moving averages. Sometimes RSI.

The hardest part of all of this, will be finding an experienced trader/mentor you can follow who is not a bullshit artist. If you do find someone like this, just watch them for a while and don’t copy. Try to learn about why they are taking that trade and why it was successful or failed. When you feel like you’re getting it, you can start practice trading with 1 contract buys. A lot of people do paper trading but I personally don’t like it because it’s delayed and you will hopefully be more discerning with your real money. You earn the right to increase your risk in trading. Feeling overconfident in a trade and buying a ton of contracts is another great way to blow your account.

>> No.15842657

>>15842060
Don’t buy any trading courses. You can learn EVERYTHING for free via YouTube videos. There are no “trading secrets”. The only thing I would and have paid for, is access to a quality trading room where the lead does not only make calls but actually gets into the trades themselves putting their money where their mouth is. And again, just watch and learn at first do not follow and fomo into shit.

So anyway. Education, dedication, patience, self control. I’m actually personally not that patient which is why I scalp options intra-day, the moves are usually quick. Some people are comfortable with swing trading and longer holds. What you need patience for is to wait for a pattern and multiple concepts converging in a single area pointing to a specific price action which increases your odds of making a successful trade.

There’s my unironic advice on how to get into this business peepeepoopoo

Ouch. Yeah I buy same week expiration and sell same day USUALLY. If it’s the beginning of the week and something doesn’t go my way I’ll swing it if I still have hope. I don’t buy any strikes that have contracts over $1 but I also don’t like buying too far away from the current strike since that tends to move slowly if at all. I make all my money on change, bought 10 contracts per trade, overall my trades moved .81 cents, $810. EZPZ. Good luck to you. Long term holds are difficult in orange man bad markets.

> Eagel and Squire is investigating certain officers and directors of Lannett Company, Inc. following a class action complaint that was filed against Lannett on November 16, 2016. According to the complaint, throughout the class period defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that:

> (1) Lannett’s drug pricing relied on unsustainable pricing methodologies;

>(2) Lannett lacked effective internal controls concerning its drug pricing methodologies;

>(3) as a result, Lannett’s public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times and spurred ongoing investigations by the State of Connecticut Office of the Attorney General and the U.S. Department of Justice.

I asked her why she was braking while going uphill/not slowing down and hitting the engine brake when going on a downgrade at night, and she said she thought we were going downhill when we were going up, and she couldn’t tell we were going downhill until we were gaining a lot of speed. I’m a lease op so I get paid a percentage of the load, company drivers get paid by the mile. Lease is really only worth it if you train, now that I’m not training I basically make what a company driver does but with more steps. Quitting by end of year if I can keep making at least $250 a day with trading, I’m doing well with that but proceeding with an abundance of caution.

Sorry about my retarded colleagues I always just stay away and or get the fuck out of their way when I see a semi. Lots of dumbasses and foreign drivers who can’t into English and still drive like they’re in the old country.

Another day. KDP will be on fire soon. They just inked a deal with MCD to be the packager/distributor of the McCaffe Coffee brand in stores. Which is great for me cause I own KDP stock. But this will be a blow to KHC cause they used to be the distributor. (Also own KHC stock) So meh, it's all good. The coffee is pretty good to, imo. That joker movie is pulling in all kinds of Cash. You know who owns that right? The Empire baby! Heavy bags of Green is a getting tossed around as we speak. whoo.

As dumb and frustrating as she was to train I actually felt very bad for her, she was truly trying to get it she just couldn’t. Passenger side of a truck is the worst place to be, it’s our biggest blind spot. Never linger there. Especially when you’re next to older trucks, they have smaller mirrors and usually no hood mirrors so they really can’t see shit. I have 2 big mirrors on the side, plus a hood mirror. I signal early, I lean around trying to check my blind spots as well as possible, and I’ve still scared the shit out of a couple cars in my time who were just hanging out next to me where I couldn’t see them until I actually started moving over. Size of your vehicle doesn’t matter unless maybe you’re another semi, pickup trucks are just cars to us. If a driver has their mirrors in a particularly bad position, sometimes the blind spot can hide semis too. Some drivers are just retards tho and flip their signal on and get on over immediately like they aren’t driving a 75ft long tractor trailer.

So yeah. Just floor it past trucks as fast as possible and try to always pass on the drivers side if it’s possible, never linger beside them on either side at any time. Be safe bro.

This is one area where mutual funds trump etf's. The buying price. With mutual funds the buying price of a single share is way less than a ETF. Also you can buy partial shares. An ETF is an all or nothing game. Ex: SWPPX - an S&P 500 fund that will only set you back $46 a pop. You can automate this. Basically each month you dump say $500 into it, the whole amount gets invested. Treat this as any other "bill" you must pay. But the only way to make anything worth a damn is to either start young or dump a shit pot full of seed money into it to kick start the process. Half ass it won't do you any good. You'd be better off getting in with a bio company that makes a killing if your wanting a quick payday and your hitting middle age.

There's no way I could beat the market. Sure I'll get lucky with AMRN and make a nice bundle of green. But who's to say the next company I picked wouldn't just shat all over? In this case that "bundle" is going to be used to seed two funds and bag a nice load of shares in a company that won't just shat and burn. Cause a smart man knows when to gamble and not gamble with his wad of hard earned green. I make shit, I don't want to just toss my green into the shat. It'd take to fucking long to make it back for one thing.

Doing this now. Only have about $235k in the market....I started young but got sidetracked by kids and a house and such. So I am DCA'ing $2500/month into my roboadvised stuff, and putting a hundred here and there into bio (snss, axds, Galt, lci, tltff, Teva, atbpf) for a hopefully good profit if some take off.

Perhaps the advice should be the opposite. It's been often said (and, I assume, is also true) over the recent decades that the average professional active fund managers fail to give better returns than the indices, especially once expenses are taken into account. Since the average retail investor performs even worse than the professionals, it seems that there's a lot of room for us to outperform both classes. The game is stacked in our favor. I'm not saying the professionals can't beat the market, or that the failure of the average mutual fund to beat the market s the fault of the managers. If anyone should beat the market, it should be them. They have the knowledge and the intelligence to do well. Rather they are not allowed to win due to various limitations. That much appears obvious from the empirical evidence. It's less obvious that some retail investors should expect to regularly do better than others, but I think that isn't a reasonable expectation, and there are certain advantages in our favor.
