I travel by using a giant 10m projector screen (bigger and nicer than pic) and watching videos of people walking through a city or through a temple or other attraction (slow tv) sometimes I will watch a vlog if I want to pretend I am hanging out with pretty girls and slake my social instincts.
This approach is much easier and more comfortable way to experience other countries, and I can stop when I want and go back to bed. It costs next to nothing and I don't have to take huge holidays from work so I can stack cash for a secure future.

As strange as this might sound, its an important part of the experience of visiting a foreign place. The worst smelling city I’ve ever been to was the slums of Bangkok. The air is 95 degrees, humid as hell, and smells like raw sewage. And as disgusting as that sounds, it was one of the most memorable things about being there. People in Japan dressed a lot nicer and generally took better care of themselves that what I see back home in burgerland, I had a good time being in their company when I went there last spring. Also the EDM scene in clubs was better there than in the US, they still make and play music there that you can actually dance to. I think if I went to a European country for vacation I would have had the same sentiment as you though, I guess just focus on countries that are less americanized.

Thanks I laughed. I've been travelling a lot to many different countries, and lived overseas in Thailand for 6 months and Japan for a year. Also like going camping around my own country and enjoying being out in nature. But I am also a very busy guy. Especially don't have time for the wrong opinions of Stacy. With virtual travel can get a feel for a city. Maybe if I really like what I see I will go. For example the other day I experienced walking around New York. I saw some impressive buildings and nice behavior of people. saw so many advertisement for shows or products, just regurgitation of what is popular. Eyed many attractive women (let's be honest, this is most of the fun. Actually talking to them would be hellish) And I laughed at the black dudes literally trying to sell their mix tapes. It felt real and memorable because the projector brings the images up to human scale, that is: the people I saw on the screen are the same size as a real person would be if one were right infront of me. The human brain isn't so difficult to fool, especially if it wants to be fooled. I would say that virtual travel gives about 80% of the overall experience of travel, and in many ways is more comfy as you are not worrying about any physical dangers or robbery or exhaustion and can enjoy the sights of the city fully. And most importantly it doesn't cost huge amounts of money or especially, time, to get that experience.
