Read section 6 and get back to me. It descries using Intel SGX and HTTPS to combat data reliability problems.
SGX and HTTPS are methods to provide data protection in the sense that no malicious party has manipulated the intended data to send.
The sybil attack vector is that someone operates enough nodes to have a measure of authority (single fucking node by the way).
The problem is not a data integrity issue in the sense of attacks after the data is sent. The attack is just a node operator lying about the price of corn.
The reason they don't have any plans to decentralize is because they've done absolutely fucking nothing to mitigate this issue.
This is the tech equivalent of me asking a group of people to tell me what the time is and to make sure a large portion of the group doesn't lie I will give them all vitamin C and make them wash their hands.

Reminder ETH is a shitcone and it still hit 1.4k on a larger supply
