The whole reason why I want to self-fund my own research/experimentation is because if I had investors, I wouldn't be able to make it public domain (or I'd have to pay back out of my own pocket).
I have no delusions about it - chances are it won't lead to anything. But I'm gonna try either way; I've decided to make that my purpose for living. Will be able to die with no regrets if I can at least get to the experimentation parts.
