Once the team finishes building the network for decentralized oracles, will the team be needed any more?

Say the team finishes everything (staking, service agreements etc.) And then Sergey dies from Big Mac indulging. The team disbands. Will chainlink survive on its own at that point, or are there centralized dependencies that the team does once it's launched besides upgrades and improvements?

It still has not delivered any useful product, only some weird preliminary supplement which is mainly used for sending out spam e-mails and bypassing the spam checks.

Truly a great and unstoppable product, where they promise A, deliver 25% of B, and then start turning themselves into a non-profit foundation, doesn't sound like a scam like all.
