Band protocol's solution is putting all data on the blockchain as standard, instead of on a per-call basis as with oracles.
Which obviously doesn't solve a god damn thing, since you still have to prove the data got on there trustlessly.
Not to mention the bloat.
They claim that their solution only involves "one transaction" instead of two in the case of oracles; but this isn't true at all because the data had to get on-chain through a transaction first.
Plus, creating an on-chain database like this is something Chainlink can easily do.

Bonus points: after spending the entire white paper showing how Band is superior to oracles, they say this line:
