Hmm, more interesting tidbit of information. Someone did a study of FDA advisory meetings. Seems that drugs that passed the advisory stage, 70% of them got the final green light later that year. I don't know about you but I like those odds. Profit... I smell Profit. Big Pharma knows this to. I fully expect a lot of heavy bags to be dropped on AMRN's board table between 11/14 and 12/28. After 12/28 the cost to buy goes up a hell of a lot.

A lot of fishy business
1/4 manhattan homes are Empty. Seen articles about how nothing is selling so their is suspician that sellers are just renting cause almost everything sold ends up trying to rent out. Lots and lots of expensive properties are unsold and no one want to rent either. Saw articles about orange county having lows in the market-poor is creeping in from LA crashing prices.
I have been doing research and it seems like these two banks amongst other are gonna get fucked. With all these repos people are wondering where this liquidity is needed so badly. You need a lot of rich people to afford these places and there arent a lot of rich people anymore. I think we are seeing the first part of cascading effects of losing middle class. Companies with lots of money in “middle class” type assets are gonna be fucked. Everyone is a poor wagie or rich now. And we have been building a lot of middle class shit no one can buy. Banks bundle it up and selling them just like in the 2008 crisis. So much stuff will crash in price soon enough. Probably as long as repos go i guess. Relatively new to this stuff but it looks fishy to me.
Especially with chase paying back everyone in canada and leaving

Up to you. I've already got a shit pot of shares but from what I've read for whatever reason even if the advisory meeting goes good the share price just goes nuts downward. You'd think after such good news the opposite would happen. People getting spooked and taking the easy buck I guess. So two ways to do it. Wait till the meeting date or a day after and then buy. or buy now and wait. But keep in mind this; Big Pharma may not wait. Stranger things have happened. Hell look at Arry. That company got bought and they don't got anything passed yet.

I personally wouldn't buy a dividend stock unless it was beaten down or part of a growth strategy. For example if the S&P 500 goes up on average 8%, then add in 2% dividends and it isn't a bad return.

Of course like anything else it depends on your strategy. I think of the S&P as your safe bet, meanwhile at least 10% of your portfolio should be speculative.

>> No.15678681

Your forgetting that Time + Drip is the key for Divvy income. Ex: 240 T-babies now without buying more shares equals 30,000.00 in 26 years. If you wait till a major shat happens (like last winter) then your basically assured of not losing money unless the company itself goes into the shat.

Note that 30k is assuming you don't buy more shares over 26 years. The payout would go up if you say dumped 1000 more each year into it and/or started when you were 18 - 20.

Hell Time + drip is the key really for any investment over the long haul unless its like a quick growth play or some shit.

I've really never used one effectively. I mean I've used finviz for finding some companies, but I usually see what others are doing in these threads and what the idiots on stocktwits and reddit are shouting about, then I look into the company and look at the charts to see if I should jump on something or not.

Usually if Stocktwits, and Reddit are jumping on something I try to think a step ahead so that I don't get BTFO. They really like to chase moon missions that have already reached the peak (like most of /SMG/ too). Options, mainly spreads are what I've employed in the past to mitigate risks in unknown territory, like ROKU this monday. I will give you some advice as a trader that has a bit of experience, you WILL lose money. Risk mitigation should be your number one priority behind due diligence. I never go balls deep in anything and I use stop losses so I never lose more than 2% of my entire portfolio in a single trade.

will that yield still be 11% when they cut dividend to pay off their debts that just started payments this august?? you do realize that note holders get paid before equity holders? Any reduction in revenue could be detrimental.. yeah.. i get it.. they sell ciggerates too.. but.. they sold ciggerates BEFORE taking on 13billion in loans for their e-cig investment which is now getting banned left and right and getting heat left and right about health concerns.

big money sees it.. retail is just looking at "but people smoke" or "they have e-cigs" retail isn't looking into filings as deep as big money... you aren't scratching your head wondering why is it tanking?!?! like is nobody sitting there wondering why the price is going down month after month?!?

that 76billion dollar market cap is pretty big for retail to catch and will take awhile to turn that boat around..

imo big money rather buy the debt and not the equity

Not really, because the headlines alone are enough to freak any investors right the fuck out.

Do you think recession is coming soon or Powell will stop slashing rates? Otherwise, seems like a good time to accrue debt. Even Apple, with enough cash on their sheets to buy a studio if they wanted, just took out a bunch of debt.

Honestly I’m not sure what to expect, but I don’t think recession is close enough to want to get out of the market.

it sure is a good time to accrue debt... BUT.. if you take on debt to invest in a product and that product sales slow because they are getting banned left and right then that debt is no longer good.. it's bad.. because its debt in an investment that is going south...

not only that but the market cap will take a very long time to catch.. it'll take a long time to establish a new trend... i mean.. come on... i get it.. people smoke.. but people also drive cars so why isn't F to the moon?!?!

its just the way stocks work.. MO may have some pops here and there but for now the down trend is very very heavy.. it's not some 100million dollar company that can establish a new trend in a week.. it'll take months + the chances of them cutting dividend if juul really goes south...

just my opinion man.. you can try catching that stock or you can find a better one and wait for it to actually find a bottom and establish a trend... but again.. thats just my opinion

MO is going to $30......

Makes a lot of sense but comparing US tobacco companies to an American car manufacturing company with international exposure doesn’t seem right to me, also because of wage growth and the kind of commitment it takes to buy a new car. Additionally, millennials have been conditioned away from major purchases on rapidly depreciating assets like new cars. And then you’ve got the uber/lyft and even the caravana type shit, autos has a lot going on and I don’t want to be a part of it.

I get that MO could be a good investment.. people do smoke.. i get that.. but investing 13billion in a product that is getting bashed on left and right is scary esepcially when their debt payments for it just started

>Thanks for your input. I think utilities and entertainment are where I want to be right now.
I really want to get into utilities.. i remember theres a part in the intelligent investor that talks about utility companies and that the way you look at their balance sheets are way different then most other companies.. i think i might go back and read what it says about utilities so i can invest in them a little smarter... something about debt.. they have debt more than most other types of business...?? but yeah.. i'd love to find a good electric company and a company with water...

imo equity trading is the best type of trading.. it's not extremly sophisticated and the swings most of the time make sense compared to forex or crypto.. then you have bond and commodity traders but i think thats more for hedge funds, investment banks and very very large traders.

Being able to trade small caps or options on mega caps where there is high volatility i think is a huge advantage.. both have high volatility and i think people that can trade those two types of trades are really good traders.. but thats just my opinion.

stocks do forward splits and reverse splits to make the stock price look more "attractive"

For example.. when amzn was trading at 700 (i think it was 700) then they did a 7:1 forward split bringing the price of the stock to 100.. this allows the average person to buy shares because they can buy 1 or 2 shares at 100 but not 1 at 700.. so they usually trade options around it but then MMs wipe premiums because they know most retail traders are trying to trade the options

Sounds like the Turks might be setting up to make some appeasement purchases to get back into the good graces of trump and LMT.

But what you’re saying does make sense, if the issue was that patriot defenses weren’t good enough. Problem is I DONT know what’s what, thought I hear L3Harris has good radar tech.
Maybe this would be a good time to get a defense ETF then. All I know is that I like LMT, but they might not be the best positioned.

Yes, it's a way to get really fucking rich but retards won't make it since you need a 120+ iq and 2 blown accounts to get a feel for the market. 90% of daytraders fail because they don't have the grit and are really just searching for a lotto ticket so they don't have to go to work tomorrow. They don't care about the art of trading.
