Is there some catch to these things? I need bitcoin for a couple things and my bank blocks attempted purchases of it from vendors which apparently doesn't happen on ATMs

High fees and on the legit ones (maybe all by now?) KYC.

I met a guy who ones one of the BitCoin ATM networks in the US. Up there in terms of number of machines, but no the top. Told me the top one didn't follow certain KYC rules for a large amount.

He makes money, but price volatility and one reason why the prices are so high. They do photo KYC and have helped some customers who were being scammed by people who wanted to be paid in BTC.

Personally, I'd stick with an online exchange.
