There are two types of NEETs:
1. Bourgeoisie NEETS of whom the proletarians work for.
2. Welfare NEETs who feed off of government handouts.

Bourgeois NEETs are typically rich(multi-millionaires, billionaires.) While Welfare NEETs are typically poor and get enough from the government to live and that's it.

Then there is the working class, the proletarians, the wagies, who's labor, whether skilled or unskilled, either generates wealth for or funds through taxes, the NEET.

The point is, not everyone can be a NEET, some people have to be wagies to fund the NEET lifestyle. So, who's going to be a NEET? And who is going to be a wagie?

Evolution doesn't necessarily favor hard work or even intelligence. If welfare NEETs find a way to survive and pass on their genetics, then they were evolutionarily successful.
