During the post-SIBOS dump and the endless FUD, some anons made some useful comments that were helpful for me at the time. Thought I could try and do the same:

- Do your own research. If you understand the project and the fundamentals, then you will gain greater certainty and confidence. We did this purely on the whitepaper, breadcrumbs and then the Zeppelin announcement. There's a wealth of information out there now - go read.

- Unlike most teams, there is a clear distinction between the tech and the business teams. Sergey obviously has a strong grasp of the project conceptually but his role is purely to lead the company and to further business development. Look at everything together: his VC background, his early experience with other projects, the links with corporates and institutions, the acquisition of TC. This has been his sole and unrelenting focus for years.
- Sergey (and Chainlink) are highly professional and distinctly anti-hype for this space. We had nearly a year with no communication and have no leaks of any annoucements. No "crypto marketing", no pre-annoucements, no real bullshit. There will be no warning of the next big announcement either.
- Be wary of the FUD: is it "dumping" or is it building for the future? Chainlink now has a team of 25, that doesn't come cheap. Look into the pedigree of some of the hires.

- The SWIFT logo is on the site, they are mentioned in every annoucement. We don't know the extent of the collaboration but it's clearly ongoing.
- Remember Microsoft too. The Yorke E. Rhodes tweets. The breadcrumbs.

- Go back to some of the AB threads for some good conceptual underpinnings: the ICO was to create a veneer of decentralisation for what is a corporate project at its core; "smart contracts" will be a normie concept like "the cloud" in years to come; 'these guys' think in 3 and 5 year terms.

- Remember that software takes a long time to build while this market is highly volatile and prone to manipulation. Step back and focus on the big picture. Look at the amount of announcements and advances since the ATH for example. Mixiciles was announced 14 days ago.
- Don't expect much on mainnet until well into 2020. As Sergey has stated, teams will slowly migrate from the testnets as the infrastructures is slowly built out. Currently, the reference contracts (ETH/USD) are the focus to provide basic utility and trust in the network. Again, step back, zoom out.

- At this point, the price is simply noise. Work on stripping out emotion attached to the price and put that energey into research and learning.

- Remember the core of Chainlink's thesis: it will allow smart contracts to reliably and securely talk to legacy systems. It will remove or mitigate counterparty risk. It is the missing layer.
- And of course, the project could still fail. But I like the odds at this point.

Good thread. The fud here is like 3 paid pajeets and the rest bored holders. It's hard to tell, especially for newfags not used to shareblue on /pol/, none of the negative posts are real.

There's enough info out there that even a nigger level IQ can get what smart contracts (and the people that literally made smartcontracts.com in 08) are going to do.

Worst case scenario Google or Microsoft blow us the fuck out with sheer manpower and then get broken up due to anti trust/monopoly laws for being too big. DYOR, but hold strong at whatever you decide. It's going to take 2-3 years for the normies to understand this, likely once they/their loved ones start losing jobs from this mysterious SC. Sucks to wait, but zoom out...freedom from wageslaving is just around the corner, and shit is about to get wild on a global scale.

I don't understand this latest wave of fud. In the early days I used to fud LINK like everyone else even though I was holding a huge bag. It was partially just for fun and partially because I wanted to prevent idiots from making it. But what is even the point of doing it now? There is only like 50 people on biz and LINK has $60M in daily volume. Even if your fud was good (and let's be honest 2019 fud is hilariously bad) do you think you're actually influencing the price? Is it really worth astroturfing the catalog every day just to get a couple more broke newfags to panic sell? I don't get it.

I don't get it either. And definitely doesn't seem as organic as it used to.

High IQ thread. The fud seems coordinated. If anything, it’s just causing myself and close friends to keep buying. I genuinely think silence and less noise would have worried me more. We’re all going to make it.

most fudders at this point are nulinkers who like the idea of the project and bought a small bag but are insecure with their investment (haven't read anything but first few paragraphs of the whitepaper and have seen a few key announcements). They fud to squeeze information out of oldfags to reaffirm what they hope is a good investment decision. the best approach for these faggots is to ignore, as if they can't be assed to do the research themselves they are hopeless when it comes to holding long term. just my thoughts as an oldfag

Good advice op. Most crumbs are nothing burgers right now but they highlight greater awareness of link in many spaces.
Aggregation plus deposits will be included in the next version. two versions have been created last week to incorporate threshold signatures and mixicles.
Ask yourself if the language used to describe link is the same as the rest of the crypto space... Protip it isn't collateral isnt like steaking for instance.

I'm neither pro nor anti chainlink just awesome coin lets see what it becomes. But I remember 2017 had tons of coins getting fudded nonstop that were doing good and pumping. very similar with chainlink and the constant fud
