Holding BTC is like holding gold, youre not entirely wrong with your "weapon against inflation" argument, but thats not what were after. BTC and gold are both worth what people are willing to pay for them. Ethereum/proof of stake creates value for the token because it allows you to validate txs proportional to your holdings. Imagine if we just paused the us economy right now, and divided the ownership of the fed amongst all usd holders. Everybody holding usd now receives a share of the feds interest proportional to their usd holdings. Its an internal feedback loop that can create value while simulatenously providing incentive to maintain said network. So at this point its just a matter of network adoption. If you cant see that eth is the world computer of the future youre actually retarded.

Ethereum is struggling to scale and more importantly update quickly. This is basically becoming BTC 2.0 but egold can move slow and expensive, defi not so much.
