the whole point of KNG is that they only sell enough calls to hit their yield target.
So you still get ~80% of the underlying growth annually (that's their number, not mine). So you get a >2x yield and only give up some of the upside.
You still suffer ALL of the downside (as with any non-protected buy-write strategy), but the point is very high yields with SUBSTANTIAL yield growth and stability. like you get a FATTY instantaneous yield but also still a solid yield growth (dividends of the underlying grow AND the covered call yields on the underlying grow with their price)
you also get a flexibility in the covered call strategy.

The "Pure" covered call ETFs like PBP and QYLD have all the weaknesses and more without the same strengths. They have more yield, sure, but they are

There are four forms of importance.

>retained earnings
>balance sheet
>cashflow

My community college financial accounting class addressed all these.

The second class cost accounting dealt with a lot of ratios and internal methods of accounting for product costs.

But this is small potatoes compared to the broader use version. It's this version that is getting eyeballed now by the FDA.
