I'm currently a senior in high school. I'm good at math, physics, and CS. I'll probably go to college next year for EE or Physics (have to choose). Over the summer, I worked 9 to 5 teaching math for like $20/hr and I decided that I don't want to wagecuck for the rest of my life (even though I can probably make a decent living by becoming an engineer). Any ideas for what to do to avoid wage slavery for 50 years? Should I start my own business or something? (Please don't say stuff like hurrdurr put your money in link $1000 eoy)

Pic related.

Do EE. My friend recently left his MSEE at Stanford program because his startup is doing so well. He can always go back. Also, you can work in any field since every consulting, finance firm, business school wants EE graduates.

You'll probably want some Link to use as collateral too.

Eventually. Do your EE, look at the industry, figure out what's growing, go to work at a company doing that subfield, figure out what sort of new products will be needed in the future, and then WORK OUT THE LEGAL ISSUES SO THAT YOU CAN OWN THE IP RIGHTS.

That last part is IMPORTANT. In some states, your ex-employer can fuck you up the ass and steal your shit for up to a year after you quit. In other states, the moment you walk out the door you can do whatever you want. TALK TO AN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAWYER to figure out how to structure your exit BEFORE you go build your company and make billions.

These guys didn't do that:

They lost everything they'd built. One hundred fucking percent down the toilet.

I would definitely advise you to wage cuck for a while before you start your own business, just to know how businesses are run, use your working experience as a learning opportunity.

Know how to build, know how to sell.
Think win-win when talking to people.
Learn the difference between self-employed and business owner.
Find a field where the inputs and outputs are highly disconnected (high leverage).

Here are a few anon. Good luck.
