The test net has been out for 1 year. Main net has been out for months. There is no adoption. Their product is not decentralized and no developer is interested in using it.

Binance is by far the biggest player in price suppression, mainly because (a) their bots have the least latency in placing orders since it's their exchange; and (b) because they can see the whole order books and know which orders are their's and which are normal customers.
They do it for the same reason everyone trades, to make money. Binance sold a ton of their own Link stack when it pumped in July, much of it being OTC (I did a full analysis post on this a few weeks ago).
