This wagie business is honestly pretty sad on /biz/. Every single day I see threads about dudes on /biz/ who have no useful skills (usually) hating on guys who work for a living.
You need to understand that the entire society you live in, the food you eat, the housing you currently reside under, the entertainment you consume and the relaxation you enjoy is built upon tens of thousands of years of normal guys wage slaving so that eventually, your mother and father could get together and be safe enough in your society to birth your worthless self. It doesn't matter how you acquire your money or enjoyment out of life, but obviously they have a point that you shouldn't stick yourself in a shitty dead end job.
Throwing wagey around without having a good reason (if you call people wageslaves and yet you are unemployed and have no money, possessions or real worth in either your life or others' lives) is probably a manifestation of more problems in your life. Grow up, have kids and remember your life can always be turned upside down, with you being on the wage slave end of the stick, overnight.

Construction work, but i work in the office handling reports and all that. 58-73 hours. Pays 18 and 27 with over. 90 a day per diem, 6-7 days a week. Been doing this for 6 months now, about to finish in 3 weeks. Saved up emergency fund, vacation road trip , and enough money to not work for a year (cheap college living) while Im back at college.
