Hi, i have been trading stocks for a while as a hobby, yes i can afford to lose what I trade. I have recently diversified my portfolio into trading crypto. What im noticing is Huge fluctuations on a daily basis..

Is the cryptosphere basically a faster version of the stock market?

Stocks are backed, crypto is useless except for meme tier speculation trading.

The core dilemma is as follows:

>Many first adopters do so out of a speculative desire fueled by fluctuation
>Increased use results in wild price fluctuation
>Wild price fluctuation drives away businesses who don't care to speculate
>Without the participation of lots of business crypto remains unstable

Essentially you have a crate containing a crowbar. It can only be opened with the crowbar inside of it.

people use cryto cuz its off the grid and faster than real money.
its better than real money in every way. its digital.
its obviously the future of financial transaction and record keeping.

Not an argument.

It has no use as a currency or as a software layer.

Don't get me wrong the technology in and of itself is interesting and may have some potential we're yet to see, but distributed databases aren't exactly new technology, and outside of extremely niche uses it won't see widespread adoption, all this to say cryptocurrencies are still just a pump and dump meme, no other crypto will reach the heights of bitcoin and it's only still there because no one is going to take a 20000% loss.

I understand your viewpoint. I'd say 98% of crypto is a pump and dump meme, but in my opinion, XRP has long term potential.

And interesting view on Bitcoin. I'd say that has a lot to do with it.

the majority of money in crypto is not to use it, but to speculate like he said.

nobody paying for shit in bitcoins. they're holding or trading for alts.
