Anyone else like making small investments and trades just to see what happens? Like sub 500 dollars.

For sure. I think people dumping tens of thousands of dollars on gambling is insane. If I lose $100 on some shitcoin or $300 on silver, who cares?

The bulk of my investments are in mutual funds. I’ve committed probably less that 5% to crypto or other speculative shit

I'd much rather go 50% btc and make gains worth caring about

Do it. People have had success but more people have lost a lot, just like every other trend. I know you guys are young, but shit like crypto comes along every 5 years or so.

I buy stock in individual companies, $2,000 at a time.
It's fun to do some lightweight research on companies and add them to my stack and watch how they perform over time.
I try as much as I can to never sell, but if a company is down 50% or up 100% and I have doubts about its future prospects, I'll sell it.
I also have a f**k ton of money invested on PredictIt -- political gambling is awesome and more /biz/raelis should get into it

the most you can gamble on any one prediction market is $850, so it might be up your alley w.r.t. making small investments for fun

I tried to buy $300 worth of bitcoin from an atm a couple of weeks ago and the fucking thing wouldn’t work. “Cannot resolve current bitcoin price” or some such. So much for me making it in crypto

Good man, especially if you’re young. Your future self will thank you. I’m about to go check into this PredictIt thing...

I throw about 200 in alibaba stocks a week. If I want immediate returns is there any value in buying bitcoin at weekly lows and selling when it rebounds? Obviously going to reinvest earnings.

Really I’ve been treating my stocks as if it were a second bank account as I don’t immediately need any money but I’ve basically stayed within a few dozen bucks of where I started and it’s very frustrating. Only have 2000 in stocks btw

Yeah, and when you win big you always regret not putting in more, especially when you have more to spare. I invested $200 on VID almost 3 months ago, now its looking at 160x return from the first day. I still put in money everyday on VID but i hate myself for not putting more on the first day TT
