Pay a contractor 100% up front and then tell him afterwards to build something for you. Watch his motivation to complete it turn to shit.

You got scammed. Everything went according to their plan.

OMG needs LINK level shilling and fans like it did in mid 2017. Tell me why LINK is farther along development than OMG? And how long until we get to mass adoption? Or real adoption of the oracles?

So you can't answer because stainstink is behind even blatant scams like OmiseGO. Just as I thought.

Let me guess, you're holding a big bag of stainstink and are lashing out now that it's dumping to oblivion?

Google cloud is going to drive up price? The whitepaper said the price for enterprises wouldn't be market price. Is this just more news of partnerships or interested companies? We need actual buying of LINK, holding too.

Google Cloud is going to run a Chainlink node, which will need to be paid in Link.
Plus, their announcement about Chainlink was primarily about how to use Chainlink in conjunction with Google Cloud's BigQuery, explaining how to connect the data as well as how to run a node.
So yes, Google Cloud is going to drive up the scarcity and value of Link tokens.
That and the pure marketing effect of course lmao.

using other party's nodes I mean.
(on top of explaining how to run your own node)

And if you have any doubts about how Google Cloud feels about the Link token, see pic related; which is a diagram from Google Cloud's Chainlink announcement.

Anyone with access to BigQuery's ethereum data can run it. Which appears to be anyone, and that specific data appears to be free, as they only charge business for hosting, and they seem to be hosting ethereum metadata of their own volition.

>BigQuery's ethereum data

This is a testnet node that Google Cloud is running, which only involves the price of ETH gas (data supplied the BigQuery API).

Read https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/data-analytics/building-hybrid-blockchain-cloud-applications-with-ethereum-and-google-cloud
which describes mainnet implementation; i.e. connecting any BigQuery data to the blockchain.

>> No.15474216

>>15474198
I am well aware of that article, but it does not prove that google are running that testnet node. The fact is anyone can run that testnet node, and it's probably chainlink themselves, the data it lets you retrieve is open and free.

The node hasn't effected price yet though, hopefully the node number grows enough to pump this shit but your reasoning is weak at best

>> No.15474255

Read again.
The people using Google Cloud's node will have to pay for the Linkies.
So will the people running their own Chainlink BigQuery node. And THEIR users.

>The node hasn't effected price yet though
It has, but not fully of course.
Mainnet is still in its early limited phase; currently the only mainnet nodes are hand-picked by Chainlink and all they do is feed the ETH price.

except querying from BigQuery is literally free

>>15474235
Google taking part in writing the documentation (which is mostly copy pasted from documentation for other nodes) does not imply there is a server that belongs to google that runs a chainlink node.

No it's not lol.

Google Cloud literally calls it "OUR docummentation".
It sounds like you're having some cognitive dissonance.

And even if querying from BigQuery were free (which it isn't), the point is that using Chainlink requires Link tokens.
