15468882 No.15468882 [Reply] [Original]

my company is making moves to create a department regarding the implementation of smart contracts on the business, we dont know shit about the technical stuff

so this guy, who i cant disclose who, went to a meeting there last week

my heart was racing all the time during the meeting, never felt so smug in my life

the only 2 persons in the room who knew jack shit about anything in this topic was the dude who i shall not name, and me, the managers are all clueless boomers

i later asked him something over linkedin, pic related

i'm not going to reveal any dates or anything, it's all pretty new, this is going to take a while, it's a massive company, not related to derivatives in any way, we move slow

hold for at least 5y, if a better solution don't come up and fuck us all in the ass, this is going to take over everything

it would not matter much, i just wanted to share that decentralized oracles aren't a meme, and smart contracts definitely aren't too

mind you that this is a massive company, and if we are looking into it, you can bet that some higher up knows that more people are too, the directors there would never come up with this by themselves

it's on the energy business

Just like In-Q-Tel funded Google. The directors aren't really directing. The same applies to smart contracts and Chainlink. If Chainlink really is as world changing as we think, very large spiders are behind it and better solutions are irrelevant.

I work for a $5b publicly traded health care company and we’re in the same boat. I asked my CTO and CIO about smart contracts last week and they said they’re very aware of them and even named Chainlink as a solution when asked about implementation. It’s only a matter of time anons.

i guess it's going to be like sergey said, as soon as someone makes this work, its gonna go vertical

the amount of money a big corp can save with this is absurd, lots of business are going to die very fast

>> No.15469868

>>15469768

From what I piece together, it'll go like this.

1) Constant economic decline for the next two decades.
2) LINK mainnet May 2019.
3) Assuming corps don't adopt smart contract tech at any point ever, they just fail and die.
4) How much a corp benefits from LINK mainnet is related to the duration of time between time of corp's smart contract rollout and time from from the mainnet release.
5) The sooner a company adopts smart contract tech, the sooner they receive disproportionately large benefits.
6) Conversely, the later a company adopts the tech, the less benefits they will receive, PROPORTIONAL TO THEIR PEERS.

LINK is like selling the last guy down the river lol

I've been telling one of my coworkers she needs to start learning about smart contracts else her job will get replaced.

Seeing as you're in the Energy sector, I'm not worry about not being able to cash out this year to survive for a year. Nazaroth said he wanted to target the shipping and derivatives this year.

Of course, the objective is to spend as little as possible.
